Dryzone Hi-Lime Renovation Plaster (5 Bags)

Good stuff
I found this worked well with a medium to wettish mix i.e not too dry. It gave perfect adhesion but as others have said the material is 'gritty' so you get a 'gritty' finish. Not sure even a pro could overcome that. This was not a problem for me as it was to be covered by anaglypta. I am not sure how good it would be for applying paint to the plaster.I did not realise how much I was getting so have saved 90% after doing quite a big patching job..and the bag was heavy

Very difficult to apply with a smooth finish
As a general DIYer, I found this really hard to put on. I have no problem applying normal plaster, this was a challenge. The finish is more like render, you would not be able to paint it directly. However, I am hoping it will solve my damp problem.

Fixed the problems
It’s Not like plaster to apply to the wall it’ rolls back on its self just needs patience, sorted my wife’s downstairs damp problem 👍😂

Needs an experienced plasterer
Our first plasterer used this and my husband was not happy with the very bumpy “rustic” finish. He stated you needed to be 21+ to look at it as it was x-rated! We got another plasterer who has experience of lime plastering, what a difference! We have a lovely smooth decent finish that is not that different to modern plaster. Very happy with it and it seems to have solved our damp problem in our 1800’s stone cottage.

Damp resistant plaster.
Easy enough to use and apply.Used to treat rising damp.Followed the instructions after using the injection DPC into mortar and the brush on Damp proof liquid.Applied the plaster in 2 coats as instructed a day later.Doesn't appear to have damp coming through 2 months on.

Would give 5 stars but.....
I would have given 5 stars. Product itself is very good. The only problem was in the delivery. Not packaged very well. After removing packaging, bag had a small split in it and plaster had spilt out. Bit of sweeping up. Not a massive issue, and would use this product again if i needed to.

Damp proof plaster
Quite expensive but if it works it will be worth it. Time will tell.

You may need to find your own perfect ratio....
Instructions were rubbish according to my partner, the first lot he made to the recipie was unusable, so he did it his own way! Good product apart from duff proportions of plaster to water.
