This picardie set looks more expensive than it is and excellent value for money. It's such a lovely design and went well with my other white and gold china. The only downside with gold china is that you cannot put them in the dishwasher, but it is no problem to wash them up as it is not like they are going to be used every day.It’s the same glass James Bond was drinking from in Skyfall movie.

I've broken a decent number of glasses over the years in various entertaining ways — dropping them, banging them on the edge of a counter, random cracking in the dishwasher, etc. So about eight years ago, I bought a set of these to supplement my large glass collection, which had started to get rather sparse.Eight years later, I ordered a second set because these are just about the only large glasses I have left. All six of the original set are still intact. They've been dropped so many times that I've lost count, and they get banged into things just as often as the other drinking glasses did. The difference is that these don't shatter into a thousand pieces when that happens. They don't even chip or crack. They just sit there looking at you as though they were saying "What the heck was that for?"They're also heavy enough that they don't get knocked over easily, which likely contributes to their longevity.I'm really not sure why Amazon doesn't let us rate the glasses' longevity or durability, because that's pretty much the first thing I look for when deciding what kind of drinking glasses to buy, so I guess the best I can do is call them "easy to clean" — as in they don't shatter on their own in the dishwasher. 😁 Either way, these glasses are great for people who are tired of cleaning up tiny shards of glass in their kitchen every few months.

Bought used like new - a bargain. Duralex tumblers last forever. Ours had been etched in the dishwasher over 20+ years of use - still functional but dingy.These are tempered glass (like Pyrex) and may shatter if dropped on a tile floor. They are very safe for children and adults.

Just like what you’ll find in the better classic bistros of Paris. These are perfect as juice glasses. They are strong, crystal clear ( and stay that way), have great weight to them, and feel great in your hand. Despite being dishwasher safe we hand wash ours. Be aware when buying these that they are designed and made in France so the ounce measurements given are larger than U.S ounces. Therefore a glass designated as 8.75 ounces is more like 6.5 in the U.S.

Classic Picardie tumblers. Using them as cortado glasses. Very pleased with this purchase.

Gives my table a French vibe I like…they are classic, durable, good for everyday and company. The glass is clear and washes well. I would buy them again…have had these for several years.
