Not THIS is a decent carving block. Firm eraser material throughout, what an innovative idea to sandwich soft white material between sturdy, colorful layers. Carves like butter and because of the two color construction, it's easy to see background to remove. Material will hold fine cuts much better than the pink Speedball product that's available. ONLY disappointment is the limited size availability. I hope this manufacturer will realize they have a goldmine here and produce 9 x 12 and 12 x 12 pieces for the more serious artist. A+++++

Really nice quality rubber
Really nice quality rubber! I've already carved out a stamp with it and I like it a lot. It carved cleanly and I was able to cut it out cleanly using an exacto knife. It really makes my stamps look nice and professional on a solid piece of two-toned rubber. I'm excited to try out the other colors in the future!
