I think these knives are not that great. I thought it was a cool idea
I think these knives are not that great. I thought it was a cool idea, but they are not sharp enough (despite assurances in the product description). While they are "sharp" as far as wood goes, there is zero comparison to a metal knife, which is what I wish I bought.

I really like the chopping knife
This is the SECOND set that I have ordered. The first set had a T split in the bamboo at the end, I really like the chopping knife, so I wanted to give them another chance. This set arrived with another crack at the end of the serrated knife. Don't even waste your money. I tried twice and got defective merchandise both times.

Not great for cutting
These did not cut well. I gave them away after one use to a friend to use for pick nicks or when the loss of a knife was a possibility.

The serrated one works great still, cuts all of my leafy veggies well
The serrated one works great still, cuts all of my leafy veggies well. However, the straight blade broke along the wood seam on our second use. I was disappointed but for wooden knives, not too terrible.

One arrived broken.
The serrated knife was broken when it arrived. We have tried to glue it, but don't know if it will hold or not. The other one appears to be fine.

Great company, so-so knife
Three stars for the knives, five stars for the company who sold them, "WeLoveCooking".The first set arrived broken, though everything else in the box was fine. No big deal, I did the return through Amazon, figured that was the end of it. Then WeLoveCooking sent a standard post-sale email asking how things were. I told them they were wrecked and returned, and they offered to send me another set, no strings attached! I thought that was very kind of them, and will definitely prefer buying from them in the future. The knives themselves are good for being knives made out of wood. The bread knife is pretty reasonable, but the chef's knife scares me - using it requires WAY more force than a sharp steel knife, and more force==more dangerous. I'm sure I'll find reasons to use it (offhand, it'll make a fine cake knife, and for cutting other soft things) but it's no substitute for a sharp steel knife for most cutting tasks.

Poor quality
Very disappointed. The knife fell apart before it even came out of the package new.
