If your computer supports USB-C, then it should work. I use it with an M1 MacBook Air and a Lexar Compact Flash/SD card reader.

Q: Can I use this to charge a dell computer from a hub?

If your HUB provides enough power sure. Which Iam sure wont be possible. Hubs are usually use to transfer data not power. This USB will carry 100W of power if your Hub is capable of pushing upto 100W through a USB port. We use this with separate powerbank or USB charger not a hub. Just my thoughts.
