Yes it's a real raccoon tail, yes I knew that before I bought it. Only bad reviews I saw were mostly unverified purchases and people complaining that Amazon shouldn't sell real fur products. Discount those, unless you're one of those people I guess.The product is good quality, no defects. It's a bit smaller than I thought just because it said extra large. It's 11 inches long like it is described. Neither of them were bent or mangled when they arrived. It's pretty fluffy for a raccoon tail. I do think the seller should remove Fox Fur from the description because I have a fox tail as well and it's WAY larger. I think that confuses things a bit.

Item . I use it for my key chain on bike lock . Then hang from handlebars when riding .Looks fantastic .

I wish I could share videos of the pranks I've played on my coworkers with this thing!I've gotten my money's worth out of this ten times over.Take the hardware off and tie some fishing line to this and have some fun!The only drawback is that it's supposedly from an actual animal which could be quite a turn off for some people.

Tiny and smells

Bought this with the intention to wear it on my keychain but its too small and looks lame that way. The ring that comes with it is weak and will break away if it ever gets caught on something.Gave this to my gf for her purse or keys instead.

Someone asked me to buy this for them. They seemed to really like it when it came and it was a very good price. Only negative is now this is on my purchase history, ha. Weirdest online purchase I have ever made. It would be kinda funny to ace this by a door and scare someone with (like Ohmygod I slammed a raccoon in the door, come look, AAAAAAAAAHHCKKK!), but I am not certain what this is really used for.

Absolutely gorgeous. Boys used them and camp and these tails got thicker every day. Will definitely buy more,
