Great value! This gel really brings out the curl in my hair, gives great texture and volume, has no lingering scent, and a little goes a long way.

I’ve only used this twice but I really like it. I just apply it on my wet hair, let it sit while I put on my makeup, then blow it dry. I like the smell, it starts strong but mellows as the day goes on. I have naturally curly hair and a lot of products don’t work for me. I will definitely be buying this again.

it is a good curl enhancer and I didn't notice any defineable odor; however do expect stiffness/crunchiness -- despite statements to the contrary on the tube. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as the curls are "set', but I'm not sure that's what I want.

This is one of my favorite gels, one of my holly grails. It has a lightweight texture, almost liquid but a strong hold. It leaves a cast that is relatively easy to break and I like gels that leave a cast because they secure my curls longer. I have a 2c-3A type of curls and I have to use a gel if I plan to have a day after. This gel smells delicious and it pairs well with all the leave ins and curl creams I use, and this is another very positive point because it doesn't leave any white residue. It controls frizz very well for at least 48 hours. The only negative point is the size of the tube. It is small and as you can see in the picture it doesn't come 100% full. I finish one tube in less than a month and I don't use it every day and I use it in combination with the Ouidad Advance Climate Control and a Leave in. It is actually my third layer for wash and go and it doesn't last a month so, in my opinion, it is very expensive. Overall excellent gel, it does what it says it does and I will continue to buy it to use it every now and then on those days when I really need my hair on point.

I have very thick wavy hair, just past my shoulders. After applying curl cream I used about a quarter sized amount on my sopping wet hair. Air dried in to soft bouncy waves.I was hesitant after reviews about the scent. I have asthma & a very sensitive - it did bother me initially but the scent faded very quickly! I did not notice it at all after my hair dried and my lungs weren’t irritated.Some reviewers mentioned the product was crunchy and flaky. I did not have this result. They may have overused.Pros: inexpensive, soft bouncy hair, not sticky, crunchy, or flaky. Controlled frizz surprisingly well. Hair was not weighed down or dirty looking the next day.Cons: initial is overwhelming. Too much fragrance.Would buy again

I am relatively new to my curls but this is the best gel I have tried so far! I use it over a curl butter or serum and scrunch it in and it really gives so much more hold. It’s got castor oil in it so it’s actually moisturizing for a gel and not drying at all. My hair is really healthy while using this product. It dries with the usual gel cast but some scrunching of the dry hair breaks it up easily and I still have hold and the curls are sooo soft that you’d never know they had gel in them at all. And for the price, you can’t beat it. I have medium thickness hair that is mid back length and I use about a quarter sized amount or less with each wash. This bottle will last me a long time!Update 7/25/24:For extra hold, I distribute my regular quarter sized amount through my hair evenly with praying hands and raking, then scrunch my curls up. I use a microfiber towel to then pull some of the water out by “microplopping” as I style my hair soaking wet. Then I go back in with about a nickel sized amount and a couple sprays of water in my hand to thin it and scrunch over top of the formed curls. I do a regular plop for 15-30 min, then diffuse until dry, and break up the gel cast by scrunching and clapping the hair with an oil (I use Davines Oil non oil). With this method, even with me living in high heat high humidity environment, my style lasts up to 5 days between washing with little if any touch up. Definitely recommend this method for extra hold when needed!

The first time I used this I didn’t like it at all, but I think that’s because it works better if you use it on very wet hair. I have medium density, low porosity 2b hair and it left me with soft and defined curls. There was a little bit of crunch when I got done drying my hair, but that went away after scrunching it out.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY THIS! I am not allergic to anything that I know of, but oh man I have been experiencing so much itchiness in my scalp since I started using this product.This curl jelly leaves white flakes in your hair very bad but ONLY when you REFRESH your hair with it mostly. I would often clarify my hair to remove the white flakes but then I would continue to style with this curl jelly not knowing that this curly gel was the culprit of my misery: even after clarifying my hair, I would still suffer from scalp itchiness and hair fallout.So this time around, I clarified my hair once again but did not style my hair with this curl jelly. Instead, I styled my hair with my tried and true hair gel, and OMG the scalp itchiness and hair fall out was gone for good! A whole week has passed since that wash day, and I have not experienced any itchiness or hair fallout at all.That’s when I realized that the curl jelly was the problem since that was the only thing I had changed in my routine.I threw all 3 that I bought in the garbage where they belong! Avoid this product at all cost to avoid the side effects explained in detail above. God bless!
