About 2-3" and maybe 15-20 per bag

Q: I am looking for empty shells for my dwarf blue hermit crabs for saltwater tank so they need to be between 1/2" to 1 -1/2 inches. Are these ok?

The shells I got were rather large, 1 & 1/2" by 3" or 4", and most of them seemed perfect for hermits. Only a few scallops. So your dwarves might feel like they are living in a castle! Then there is a shiny coating, like shellac that might or might not be good for them. Like trying to live on an oversized slip 'n' slide. If you want the smaller size, be aware that Large World Mix is large! They come well packaged with only 1 broken shell. A diverse selection that was perfect for me, but they are not "Little pink houses" from John Couger Melloncamp!

Q: Just got this order of shells. Are they safe to put in an aquarium or do I have to treat them

I got them and they are just regular old shells I would wash them off because mine were covered in sand but they are just regular shells :) enjoy!

Q: Are these pretty for a bridal bouquet or no?

Awesome, huge shells!

These shells are huge! I am absolutely amazed at how large they are and how they all arrived unbroken. The shells came in a bag wrapped multiple times with newspaper for protection. There was also several more newspapers stuffed into the box for additional protection. I thought I would use inside a vase, however they are too big for that so I am going to lay them out on my guest book table and cake table at the wedding!

Great value

My shells arrived yesterday. They were a little dirty so I cleaned them and put the usable ones for hermit crabs in the tank.A few arrived with minor cracks/holes/breakage, but the majority of the shells were perfectly intact. Very nice variety and sizes.

some good, some not

My order arrived promptly... some of the shells were really nice and good in size, shape, color and variety ... but there were also shells that were broken and many small plain ones that I just thew away. Overall a good value but they were not exactly what I thought they would be.

Showy seashells

I am so pleased with these seashells! They arrived quickly and were all really pretty. Most of them were intact and very high quality. I think only one had a chip off it. There are plenty of them too. They filled a large bowl in my beach-themed living room. My husband actually noticed them w/o my pointing them out to him! He thought they were a very attractive addition to the décor. I'm thinking of ordering another bag. They're so reasonably priced for the fine quality they are. Would highly recommend!

Mixed feelings

I have very mixed opinion about the purchase.Pros: The shells were large. There were many very nice shells.These are real shells and I will clean them up and use them for crafts.Cons: The packaging they came in was horrible. All the shells were thrown into a bag and wrapped in newspaper.About 20 percent of the shells were broken in shipping. I think I got lucky because I'm sure there are other people who lost more than I did.Will I buy these again? NO and won't recommend them. Buy at your own risk.

Came in well-packaged and in excellent condition. I think there was a single seashell that was a little chipped, and it was still in good condition so I didn't need to throw it out. There was a nice variety of shells with some very large ones. I will be using them for wedding decorations and would not have hesitated to buy again if I needed more. The Michael's near my house also has a good selection of seashells but they tended to be a bit smaller.

Large shells as advertised...HOWEVER....A GREAT number of duplicates...not a good value for price!

An excellent value for hermit crab shell seekers

I received approximately 40 shells total with about 20 being useable for hermies from mini to medium (1/2" - 1 1/2" opening). They won't all fit mine but you 3-4 in every size. The rest are beautiful shells that you can use as food bowls/trays or for decorating. Only a small percentage arrived broken (chipped with hole). I would say 2-3 were broken out of all.
