Great product and costumer service
I purchased the Vantrue two-channel dashcam, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the performance and quality! The image quality is absolutely fantastic – both the front and rear cameras provide clear video footage. What really impressed me about Vantrue though, is their exceptional customer service. When I had an issue with the power cable being damaged, their team was quick to respond and offered helpful, friendly guidance. Since I couldn't find the part, they mailed me a replacement. It’s clear that Vantrue truly stands behind their products and cares about their customers. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality dashcam, I highly recommend the Vantrue . I even purchased a second one formy wife vehicle. The performance, paired with their outstanding customer support, makes it worth every penny!

For parking mode you must hardwire it, read this if using parking mode. Hot climates must use AC.
This dashcam is really good in my opinion. Most stuff is covered in other reviews so I'm not going to repeat it here. One thing not well covered is the parking mode. If you want the dashcam to detect someone bumping your car in the parking lot you must enable parking mode and have some sort of always on power going to the camera. This means you must either hardwire it to the car or use a battery pack. For people worried about the battery running down:The hardwire kits from Vantrue have cutoff switches which trigger at 11.x volts. This should still enable most cars to start but not in all cases. It depends. What is more important is that you set up the parking mode properly! To make it far less likely that you will ever need a jump set the parking mode to "collision" and "medium". Otherwise if you use "high" or the motion detection it could make it so the parking mode is constantly getting triggered and running down your battery! I suspect 90% of the people complaining have this problem. By default for Collision detection it seems to use "High" sensitivity. In my experience this was too sensitive and set it off all the time in parking lots. So make sure to adjust this setting and you likely will not have this problem.Update 7/22/2021I'm in Florida and I notice if I leave it out it gets way too hot and shuts down for a bit. Because of this I'm not always sure if it is recording. I also wonder how long it is going to last like this. Normally I would just remove it each day when done but the parking mode is much of the reason for my buying this. Also the mount is a little difficult to remove just the camera portion. I'm docking this one star for this. It really should have been made a little bulkier and perhaps with a bigger heat sink and protective cover to protect against direct sunlight more. Note after weeks in the Florida July summer sun the camera is still technically working overall - it's just that it shuts down when hot.Update 2/3/2022Camera is still going great! With the aforementioned overheating issue I noticed that it only has a problem in the heat when first driving on a hot day when it has been sitting in the sun all day. If I turn on the AC it will automatically start recording again within a minute or two so it is not really a big deal. As such due to this and that it still works great I am going to restore a star and make the review 5 stars again. I do still think that some sort of extra heat sink on this would have been good though.

Perfect except it can tilt sideways
I LOVE this dash cam. I used to have a battery dash cam but the battery swelled breaking the main board. I got this as a replacement since it is capacitor based and it has been one of the best decisions I ever made. The camera has super crisp quality, good night vision, and sticks to the window well. The problem I have is that the camera can’t tilt side to side. For some reason, my car does not have a level windshield, so this results in all of my videos being tilted. It’s not a deal breaker for me, it is what it is, but it is something that I think should be shared.

effective dual channel dashcam
The media could not be loaded. This dashcam works with the OBD to USB C connector which can be purchased separately. Or else you can get the hardwire kit to splice it into your fuse box. With either of these, it is possible to use parking mode. I highly suggest this setup as you can practically hide all the wires. The parking mode is pretty much this: The camera will turn on automatically to capture a few seconds of video when your car is off. This can be triggered by a collision detection, motion sensor, or a combination of both. I found that sometimes the rain on the windshield will trigger the motion sensor. I set it to only collision detection. The act of opening my car door was enough to trigger this, which I think is a good thing in case someone breaks into your car and decides to not take the dashcam. The G Sensor could be a little sensitive. Set to the lowest sensitivity (1 out of 5), a very small bump in the road will still trigger it. On a 15 minute drive to the store, it triggered once. However, I took a longer drive later on and it did not trigger at all, so I'm not sure how it works. The nightvision for the cabin camera is great. It shifts seamlessly, and everything is pretty clear and detailed, although it is in black and white. If someone broke into your car, you would definitely be able to see their face.I have the front camera at 1440p and the cabin camera at 1080p 30fps. You can configure them to be anywhere from 1440 to 720p. If you only configure to use the front camera, you can also have it set to 4K. The front and cabin videos are saved as 2 separate videos, and not PiP view. 15 minutes worth of driving in addition to a whole night worth of parking mode videos (I live on a busy street) took up 20GB on the card. I'm not sure if this matters much, as the data rewrites over itself. This comes with a GPS mount, which will send GPS details (speed, location) over to the main unit. In the software you can choose to disable this if you want. You can also choose to power the unit by directly plugging the USB C cable into either the dashcam itself, or just the mount.Attached is a video from the front facing camera. I would also attach the video from the cabin camera, but Amazon only lets me upload 1 video per review. Instead, I took a screenshot. Also attached are pictures of how the cable could be routed cleanly to eliminate the clutter, and what the camera looks like from the outside. Overall, I think this is a great product, especially for the price. Some things I would like to see in the future:- Motion Sensor that is not affected by rain- Better tuning for the G Sensor- Better swivel flexibility for the GPS mount. It's definitely sufficient to capture the front of the car. However, if a LEO pulls you over, I would love to be able to turn the dashcam to face the side window. Unfortunately the mount can't do that.
