The Octonauts & the Frown Fish

The media could not be loaded. This story was absolutely fun and the kids were so into it! (Usually the kids won’t sit through a book reading before bed without constant redirecting to sit back).The kids sat through this whole story and loved all the illustrations! I had to give a good pause after reading each page for the kids to take a extra long look at the pictures! This one is a must-have in your home library 📚

We found this book at the local library, and my lads, two and four, insisted we borrow it. I was expecting it to be like far too many of the other children's books I've read to them: so simple as to be completely uninteresting to those of us who have to read it. I was wrong. The illustrations are gorgeous, the story interesting, and included some delightful little "easter eggs" for us parents. My husband and I love to read it to our children, especially for the "dress up" page. We love the "magic user level 20," the Devo "rock star," and, best of all, the frown fish dressed as Tom Baker, the Fourth Doctor! This book meets with the approval of both parents and children. A must-have!

My child is an Octonauts fan and he enjoyed very much the story. The illustrations are nice and the story entertaining. I’m happy with the purchase.

My 3 year old daughter has recently fallen in love with The Octonauts. After searching several retailers Amazon had the best price and availability of Octonauts books. I chose "The Frown Fish" based on the reviews and the cover art. The book is very cute and has a nice story. The art is wonderful and very detailed. My only complaint is that I felt like the story was a little short Andrew book a bit expensive at $13. All in all, it's a very nice hardback book.

I guess Grandma is more animated with her story telling than my Grandson's Papa, because he told his Papa to please go sit on the other sofa while Grandma read this darling story about the Frown Fish. Of course Grandma already knew why the fish was frowning and so just before the last page that told the story, I revealed that "Grandma knows exactly why the Frown Fish is frowning, you will be surprised!" So he eagerly awaited my turning the page and I turned the book upside down and said "See, Frown Fish is an Upside Down Fish and it had always been smiling, ha ha ha!! Isn't that funny?" He got the giggles so hard it took him some time get ready for the next Octonauts book for me to read. Great investment!

The texture of pages of the book is decent quality for the price quoted. The story curated is different from that of the video but the language is easy to understand and read. My seven year old nephew thoroughly enjoyed the book and keeps drawing characters drawn in them. He is eagerly waiting for rest of the parts to be gifted to him.

My 3yo son is obsessed with Octonauts, so we got him a couple of the books. The stories are great - engaging, informative, compassionate (the Octonauts are always helping!), and entertaining. The illustrations are beautiful, and have a million details; my son notices new ones every time. We've read this book at least once a day since we got it! (and I'm not even sick of it yet!).The frown fish is a fave as it has a surprise twist!

Very lovely story and drawing is beautiful. My three year old loves it so much. I regret just buying this one book! Should have gotten the box set :(

Das Buch ist wundervoll. Mein Sohn liebt die Octonauten - und zwar schon bevor es die Filme gab.Die Taschenbücher sind leider total labberig und nicht für Kinderhände geeignet. Es lohnt sich viel mehr die schöne, gebundene Ausgabe zu kaufen.
