Giorgio Foods, Inc Savory Wild Vegan Portabella Mushroom Jerky Smokehouse Bacon Net Wt 2 Oz

I bought my first bag of this mushroom jerky at my local outdoor outfitters. I immediately fell in love with this jerky because I am a vegetarian/pescetarian--and I'm from the more strict variety of pescetarian-- although, I love my cow's milk and fresh farm eggs, I consume no actual flesh meat other than fish. Anyway, the store runs out of inventory on this product because it is so popular; this is not surprising because this jerky is AWESOME: great flavor, texture, and nostalgia (palette).So, I grew tired of going to the store only to find that my jerky wasn't there; so, I obviously threw it into my regular order. I hate to say this but the two times that I ordered this jerky here all was good (delivery, packaging etc.) until the first bite: stale! For some reason the two times I ordered here the jerky lacked flavor and any meaningful texture; it had the consistency and palette of cardboard. I won't say that this is "no buy" because I know that the sellers can do much better--but beware before buying this product because my two experiences have prompted me to think that the seller has stored this inventory for several years in the back of a dusty warehouse.

These were truly delicious. Surprisingly good flavor! Chewing is pleasantly reminiscent of the real thing we veg people, for some reason, want and crave. But, they get kinda slimy (viscous, like okra) before they are ready for swallowing. It was off-putting

So So taste. Very Small amount inside.

Very chewy, the texture is kind of like a really old gummy bear. It sticks to your molars afterwards.

We first saw these at a gas station in Plains,MT and had to try them! Omg they are so delicious! They seriously have a similar texture as beef jerky, but a lot softer! You can taste just a HINT of the mushrooms, but the seasonings are so good! I love the Fig and Basalmic ones the best! I wish they sold these in bigger bags!!!

This is pretty good but it seems a bit more broken up and a bit bitter compared to the other flavors. It's a little spicy but as a fan of spicy foods I'd actually like a bit more spice. One of the better vegan jerky options but I prefer most of the other flavors.

Nearly expired when it arrived

I discussed this Portabella mushroom jerky in a small group coaching class, one of the attendees raved about them. It certainly was everything she said it would be. Just know to watch the sodium content if it is an issue. For a treat once in a while it is nice. We are learning to eat whole food, plant based, no oil. So these are a delicious treat!
