Not cheap considering it is an older model from the late 90’s, but it still looks fantastic when painted right. Shipping from the UK was also very fast and it was packaged protectively.

Not having built a model kit in something like 50 years (really), I decided that it would be good "therapy" to pick up the hobby in my retirement years.I've been a WWII buff for longer than I can remember and have always thought highly of the German technology of the era. As to the goals of Nazi Germany...not so much. Anyway, politics aside, I thought that a Panzer tank would make a good project.How right I was. This kit, while not the most difficult to build, is not all that easy either. With over 300 parts (many of them quite small)I anticipate that it's going to take me somewhere around 100 hours to build this model the right way.The quality of the parts is quite good with few parting lines that need removal. The plastic color is some sort of yellow/tan which doesn't really match the out-of-the-factory paint color. I simply purchased the appropriate paints (Tamiya or Model Master make acceptable colors) The plans call for about a dozen different colors but you can probably make do with half that number. I chose to buy them all, but that's just how I am. Anyway, I plan on building additional Panzers so many of the colors will be used for those projects.Do I really have to say that it's necessary to read and understand the instructions before beginning? I'll say it anyway since, like many men, I tend to disregard instructions. :-)All in all, if you're a fan of German armor from WWII and want something to keep your hands busy and mind occupied, this isn't a bad place to start.By the way, building this kit has led me to do additional research into the period of its usage so it's a learning experience as well as "occupational therapy" for the retired.

Not great for beginners but is generally good kit other than that

Essential for anyone modeling Armor in WW II. I highly recommend this kit to any modeler with some experience. Excellent craftsmanship!
