If this is your first time to install one of these, read this...
I assumed this would be a straightforward installation that would require no instructions, and apparently the manufacturer assumed the same since there were no instructions. BUT, turns out, there are many ways to attach this hinge to the underside of a dropleaf table, and all but one of them are wrong. If I were mounting a shelf on a wall, it would have been easy. But I wasn't. Here's the trick, or so I think: The hinge in this device needs to be vertically aligned with the hinge on your shelf. Once I got the two in vertical alignment, the device no longer got in its own way, preventing the shelf from coming to a fully down position. I had to add piece of wood to the underside of the table to make this alignment happen. See photo. Now the leaf is solid, operation up and down is easy, and I'm a happy camper.

Screws were to long and not sturdy enough everything else GREAT
Fixed old dining room table. Everything worked great. Screws weren't sturdy enough and a bit long. Had to buy different screws but love the sturdiness of the hinges and they don't pinch your fingers when you release them. Thank you.

These are strong!!
These fit perfectly as a replacement item and they are very strong. I proved that again when I fell on the table and put my whole 200 lbs. on one of the drop leafs and neither the leaf nor the hinge broke.

Impossible to install without instructions
I like this drop leaf bracket It took a lot of digging to find installation instructions which I have included here, Instructions should be included on something this nonintuitive. Nice strong brackets which I believe will serve me well.

Did the job
Installed and it’s works fine but the screws that came with it are so flimsy that while screwing in the table leaf, the heads broke off. Needed to buy 4 new screws at the store.

Good leg for small side table
No instructions on how to install, had to look online. Worked out good after I figured the measurements.
