Best Clay Ever!
This is better than any clay I’ve ever used and I will definitely be ordering again!! It is a little tough to work with but that’s perfect for detailed work. It’s pretty easy to smooth out and doesn’t leave fingerprints. I have very cold hands but kneading small pieces at a time works fine. For anyone having issues with this though— I used a microwave beanie (for sore muscles etc, but a heating pad would work the same), put the clay in a zipper bag, then folded the heated beanie over top of it. It softened up pretty nicely!I ordered four blocks and one of them was hard and crumbly. I’m assuming it sat in the Amazon warehouse too long or maybe the conditions weren’t right. But it’s not unusable! I’ll just soften it up with mineral oil.Very happy! Thank you!

Great stuff but stock is mislabeled!
I love this clay, I really do. But someone needs to use their eyes in the stock room. None of my other orders have been incorrect but twice now, I've been sent the Silver instead of Pearl. And the package is mislabeled as well.Which is shocking given that the Kato pack HAS the right color printed on it but sometime printed and slapped the wrong tags on these. Now I have to return this for a second time!

Surprised by this one
Okay warning: EXTREMELY hard to condition this one, but my god once you get it going it's great. Really firm and resistant to fingerprints when working, and insanely strong and flexible when baked.Another warning: it does have a chemically smell, which may bother some people, but I was alright with it. May not want to bake it right before you plan on using your kitchen though

Clay That Stands Firm
In my search for a clay that I could cut and carve without smashing the piece, I came across Kato Polyclay.Basically, it's true to what Kato touts it as: Stronger than other clays; Durable and firm to work with.I only had a couple of issues: I take it that this clay is not at all as well-known as the Sculpey brand, so it's harder to find online, especially if you're looking for more than 2 oz. The other drawback is that it's more expensive. You're surely getting a great product, but don't be surprised at seeing great prices, in comparison to other clays that is.

Good for a specific purpose.
I had read that Kato clay was very firm so that's why I purchased this. It's true, it is very firm. If you're looking for something easy to work with, this probably isn't the best choice. But if you specifically want a firm clay, I would recommend Kato. My only complaint is the smell. It's very "plastic" smelling and it can be a bit overwhelming. But it's not enough for me to not use the product.

Firm, cures glossy, thumbs up
Firmer than premo, dries to a satin or gloss finish depending on color. I would recommend using a pasta machine to condition; you could roll by hand but it takes a little more time and effort than softer clays. Not sticky at all.

Strongest polymer clay I've ever used.
Strongest polymer clay I've ever used. It's virtually indestructible if baked for 40 minutes at 330 F. Many people complain about the smell but I actually like it but I'm weird that way. This clay is great for millefiori as it's a firmer clay that's less prone to distortion and bleeding.
