It’s a very nice flashlight! Worth the purchase.

Super bright. Very durable, and extremely compact. This is the only flashlight worth buying if you are willing to spend $50 or whatever the price is. You could purchase another flashlight from any brand and I would almost guarantee that it would not even come close to touching this type of technology, and quality. I’ve seen bright flashlight’s, but I was shocked #1 for the amount of light this puts out, and #2 the size. I initially thought that it was damaged because it had been left out in the rain, but it apparently is waterproof and did not work because I needed to charge it first. The charging cable does kind of suck because it’s magnetic and it’s tricky to get it in the right spot and I’m order for it to stay there you have to let it sit without moving it, but the battery lasts a good amount of time unless it’s on turbo mode, which by the way will catch something on fire if it is touching the lens of the flashlight so be careful , although that is a very useful happenstance because,, if you need to start a fire for any reason, you could easily start one with only this flashlight! There are several different settings I believe they are like 20 lm and then 100 lm and then 900 lm and then 2000 lm or something and then it’s like 4500 lm on average for turbo mode. It has a strobe mode and the ability to be locked by pressing the button four times so it isn’t going to be turned on in your pocket on accident, and an led screen display. It can literally turn pitch black dark forests into daytime.. buy it!! :D

Awesome Mighty Might Flashlight…Don’t believe the lame 1 & 2 star reviews…

This little flash light is utterly fantastic. We are in the golden age of flashlight power!!! I have a very large flashlight collection from the world’s most powerful consumer flashlights to the most powerful in their class. Many super lame people have written poor reviews about this flashlight BECAUSE THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO OPERATE IT. That’s unfortunate because it’s not the product’s fault or manufacturer’s fault.I will address some of the untrue comments I have seen.1. “This isn’t 4000 Lumens!”:Actually, it is. I have a very expensive flashlight collection and have compared this light’s max brightness @4000 lumens to my Imalent DX80 at the same brightness. I’m happy to report that yes, it’s 4000 lumens alright. You have to understand that due to the size of the flashlight, it’s impossible to have the same throw distance as a larger flashlight, it’s just physics due to the diameter of the light reflector and number of LEDs. A larger diameter light reflector is going to increase the throw distance at the same brightness level over a smaller light reflector with less LEDs. So it’s true 4000 lumens on one flashlight isn’t the same as 4000 lumens on another with regard to throw distance (the units of measure are often different as well) and light reflection (design has a lot to do with this). With that said, this little flashlight puts out an intense 4000 lumen beam that is small but every bit as advertised. It’s truly incredible.2. “The silver switch is hit and miss!”: Ummm no. It works every time if you know how to operate it. I turned it off and on for 15 minutes testing this and it worked every time. If you press and hold the silver button, IT WILL NOT turn the light on. This is because it’s not designed to be turned on this way. If you gently press and release the silver button, the light will power on. If you gently touch and release the button again, the light will extinguish. I have no doubt the people claiming this aren’t operating the light correctly and/or they may have gotten a bad unit.Once you press and release the silver button to turn the light on, press the silver button again and HOLD IT to cycle through different brightness settings as denoted in lumens (20->200>900>2000). Double clicking the silver button and releasing in any brightness mode will put the light into TURBO MODE @4000 lumens.Again people, it’s all physics. The body of the flashlight is small and metal and heat has nowhere to go so the body of the flashlight acts as a heatsink and dissipates the heat. With the insane 4000 lumens setting in this flashlight, it’s more like a TESLA MODEL S/X WITH INSANITY MODE, IT’S A PARTY TRICK!!! The light isn’t designed to be operated at long periods of time at this brightness as it would burn your hands. The battery is quite large for the size of the flashlight (it’s nearly all battery actually) and the amount of power draw from a battery this small to generate 4000 lumens is immense. So it’s all physics people, NOT POOR DESIGN. The 4000 lumens setting is meant to illuminate something quickly giving you enough time to see the subject but not study it. Now, could you make it better? Yes, but there are concessions to size and weight and then people would complain about that too.3. “It’s cheaply made”: No, no it’s not actually. It has a solid construction with a nice weight to it, not too heavy and not too light. The LED in the light might actually out live you. The light is small and easy to drop if you have large hands like me. I use the wrist strap and it works perfect. If you have a carabiner on your keychain, just attach the wrist strap to the light and then attach the wrist strap to the carabiner.4. “It’s too much, it’s just a 200 lumen light!”: If you want any kind of real battery life, this is a true statement. However, the upper level brightness settings are more for quick and dirty situations where you need more light for short durations. Think about what you’re asking this light to do and you’ll realize that even 200 lumens is more than some of the best flashlights of the ‘80s and ‘90s in a 3” package. People are spoiled and don’t realize how bright even 200 lumens really is when it’s truly dark. I have seen bozos with their flashlights and tons of ambient light complaining they need more light, ridiculous.I recommend using the light at 20 - 200 lumens for most tasks and bumping or bursting to 900 lumens for when you need it. You really shouldn’t have to move to 2000 - 4000 lumens for most use cases (unless you just want to show off as in launching in a Tesla). If you do burst to 2000 lumens, just don’t spend more than 30 seconds to 1 minute there. Trust me, if it’s dark enough, even 200 lumens goes a long way.I make my living as an engineer and highly recommend this light and approve this message ;).

Tiny, useful, but has some issues (battery life, clunky interface, more...)

Given how small this thing is, this thing IS pretty powerful and quite useful, albeit with some limitations that keep it from being a truly great product.Let's break down the PROS and CONS of the Imalent LD70 Mini:PROS:-------* This thing is TINY (about as long as an adult index finger), and thus VERY portable.* The all metal construction makes it feel quite durable* Gets to about 3,100 lumens on its maximum setting* Beam throw is ~100 feet (maybe a little more)* Some smaller lights tend to have a narrow, spotlight-like beam, but this one has good flood!* Battery life is quite solid on its lower settings (20 and 200 lumens).* Charging is relatively quick, going from 3.2v (near empty) to 4.2v (full) in 68 minutes.* The strobe mode would work excellently to disorient an attacker in a self-defense situation* The battery is capable of constant high amperage output (an absolute necessity for 1k+ lumens)CONS:-------* The user interface on this thing is clunky at best- To prevent accidental turn-on in pocket, you must press the single button 4 times quickly.- You must press and hold the single button a few seconds to go from low to high modes.- The 4k/strobe modes are enabled by double-pressing the button quickly, then again.- Turning off those modes require a single press.- These button combos don't feel intuitive at all, and it's easy to forget to lock the thing.- I gave one of these to my dad and he burnt the heck out of his thigh when it turned on in his pocket.- There are plenty of small, one-button flashlights with GOOD interfaces on the market.- Feels like Imalent needs to go back to the drawing board on this thing's user interface* In lieu of USB-C, Imalent chose to use a proprietary magnetic charging system that's finicky- The charge cable is a USB-A cable with two magnetic contacts on the other end- These contacts are VERY magnetic, and it's NOT hard to short them on anything metal in the vicinity- Cable itself has no intelligent circuit, the cable gets VERY hot over time if it shorts on something- I've had the cable short to the metallic leg of one of my desks over a weekend (I went camping)- When I came back, some of the sleeving on the cable had melted- It's only because my computer (which it was plugged into) had died that it didn't start a fire* The brightness doesn't match advertised levels:- it doesn't actually hit 4,000 lumens (never went higher than 3,100 lumens in my testing)- it gets VERY hot at 5+ minutes on the 900 lumen setting (which is actually ~800 lumens)- gets VERY hot instantly at 2k and 4k lumen settings- 4k lumen setting sustains for MAYBE 10 secs before it ramps down due to excess heat- Shine the 2k lumen beam at something close enough for long enough and you'd prob start a fire* The battery drain is unreasonably high at higher settings.- I can understand the 4k lumen setting absolutely chewing through power w/ this tiny battery- ...but on the 900 lumen setting, you get maybe 45 minutes of battery life- Some of my other small lights give me 90-120 minutes at 800-900 lumens- Power settings go from 20/200/900/2000/4000 lumens- Imalent probably would've been better off adding extra settings between to limit the huge jumps- A 500 lumen setting would've been a really nice compromise between brightness and battery lifeCONCLUSION:----------------Despite the cons w/ the finicky interface and the decent (but not great) battery life, the things this little light does right make it more than worth the price at $45-$60 in my opinion. This has been a genuinely useful tool for me, and it's still taking a full 100% (4.2v) charge after 3 months of pretty heavy use. I was lucky to get it for $45 (on sale here on Amazon) but I'd be more than happy to pay $60 to pick one up.If you buy it, understand you're getting an *absurdly* powerful light (for its size), but also understand that in order for any light to put out 2,000+ lumens, it's going to be generating a LOT of heat and chewing through a LOT of power. If you're looking for a light that can sustain a *more than useful* 200 or 900 lumen output for a reasonable amount of time between charges, you can do far, far worse than the Imalent LD70 Mini, especially for the price.
