i bought this and for the price it was amazing. did the job. i ended up buying a porlex mini the next week. not to any fault of this device, but i just knew i would want something a bit smaller and higher build quality with a trusted name. that being said - the porlex performs a bit better and cut my grinding time down by about 33% which counts. you will feel muscles in your arm you didnt know you had when grinding by hand. i gave this to my homie and he has been using it without incident and loves it. for free he cant go wrong! either way - definitely good for a starter grinder. got the job done for my aeropress when we were camping. the whole crew drank good coffee for 2 mornings straight.

After trying this grinder I can tell you it is a great find, price convenient. After looking for a manual grinder and reading thousands of review I decided to give this a go. I would say it works just as any of the other overpriced ceramic burr grinders, you're not gonna get espresso type of grind from any of those or this. Grind produced by this grinder is fine enough for a moka pot or aeropress, thinner than those blade electrical grinders. Easy to clean, mostly all parts can be removed. I wouldn't recommend anyone to tight this all the way up because you could damage the ceramic burr when you try to turn it around.On the picture I used 20 grams of coffee on the grinder and on the right side plate some previously grinded coffee with an electrical blade grinder, you can see how much more coarse is the result from the electrical grinder and how fine the one from this grinder can be. So honestly it is more than I expected for the price paid.Overall it is a great buy for beginners like me, it gives you an idea of how fine the grind can be from this kind of grinders and at a really convenient price.

Noticeably better tasting coffee than the metal blade type grinder. Honestly I was surprised, but I brewed some this morning from the blade grinder, and one this afternoon from this grinder. Same beans, same dosage, same method. Even my teenager could taste the difference.A couple things to note. The setting adjustments do have an obvious "click" which should help for repeatability. This is an early review, so it does not speak to durability. Materials about the quality you'd expect at this price point. Meaning it seems sturdy enough, but does not scream heavy duty high quality. I plan to use it often, so should be able to speak to durability soon enough.Also, I was given a discount on this product. I know that bothers some people, even me sometimes. But I would have bought this or similar without the discount and feel my review is unbiased.

Like any manual grinder, you're going to spend a little time and a little elbow grease getting your coffee, but the unit fits together well, gives a consistent grind. Honestly, it's of better quality than I thought I'd get for the low price.

This is a great portable grinder to take anywhere with you. Great form factor that fits inside the AeroPress, and the variable grind size is great. My only 2 small complaints about this product are:-No place to attach/store the grinding handle-When adjusting the grind, it is basically impossible to return back to a previous grind setting because there is no "setting" per se. It's just continuously variable.All in all, a great product for camping or when away from home, but probably not realistic as a daily driver.

Bought to have for power outages and just had a 3 day outage so came in very handy. I would buy again .

So far a really good buy. It is a burr grinder, so it grinds the coffee really fine and does it uniformly with all the beans. Don't have an expresso machine but this is good for chemed and aeropress. Would like it to be able to grind more at a time though. But beside that its perfecto. I got this at a good price and a chance to test this out but will be buying more as gifts for friends and family along with a good coffee maker.

Works OK as expected. Some rust on the handle and a dent on the top cover. Maybe a shed stock for too long.
