Nice, sturdy. Keep my coffee warm for longer than I need it to.

After less than 6 months the vacuum seal is gone and it no longer keeps liquids hot. In fact, the metal exterior is too hot to touch upon pouring hot liquid inside. Ironically, the metal exterior is now drawing heat AWAY from the liquid, which makes the tea/coffee inside cool more quickly. I have only hand washed this carafe with soap and water, so I cannot imagine how the seal got broken. Very disappointed--I liked the carafe, but this is far too short a time for a product like this to last. I am contacting customer service and hope they will replace it.

Doesn't keep coffee warm that long. In about 2 hrs, you want to warm your coffee in the microwave, especially if you add cream to your coffee. Also, the lid collects a little coffee in the process of using it so that when you remove the lid and tip it, (as in to refill the or clean the carafe) about 2 tsp of coffee runs out of the top-- usually on the floor unless you pay attention.On the positive side, if you use a Melita cone filter, it rests perfectly on the top while the coffee brews. Also, it has a classy but simple look.

Easy to use and pours without spilling or splashing. Keeps coffee hot for a long time. Seems to be well made and should be very durable. Guess I was naive expecting it was made in Germany. Only the name is German. The product was made in China.

Keeps the coffee warm in the morning and is easy to clean. I would not put this into the dishwasher. It's nicely made and should hold up for years. Not the cheapest, but would rather pay a bit more and keep it longer.

If you’re expecting it to keep coffee hot for any appreciable time, forget it. It might as well be in a glass jar.

Thermoskannen gehören in jeden Haushalt, wobei der gebräuchliche Begriff Thermos ein Produktnahme des gleichnamigen Herstellers war, daher werden andere Kannen unter der Bezeichnung Isolierkannen vertrieben.Unsere ersten Isolierkannen hatten als Innenleben alle noch Vakuumflaschen aus Glas und in den Jahren ist mir so manches dieser Gefäße zerbrochen.Die doppelwandigen Stahlgefäße sind wesentlich robuster und mittlerweile auch nicht schlechter in ihrer Isolierwirkung.Das Design würde ich als eher als Zeitlos bezeichnen, nicht hässlich aber auch kein Highlight auf dem Tisch, dies muss aber kein Nachteil sein.Die große Öffnung dieser Kanne eignet sich gut um darin direkt Tee oder Kaffee aufzubrühen.Kochendes Wasser (Kanne wie in der Anleitung beschrieben vorgewärmt) ist auch noch nach etwa 12 Stunden so heiß, dass man die Flüssigkeit kaum anfassen und schon gar nicht unmittelbar trinken könnte. Nach 5 Stunden hatte die Flüssigkeit noch fast 80 Grad. Ein wenig Wärme geht nur über den Übergang von Stahlkörper zum Kunststoffdeckel verloren, dieser wird nach einiger Zeit merklich warm.Die Kanne selbst ist mit 655g erstaunlich leicht, gut 100 g weniger als zwei gleich große, andere Isolierkannen in unserem Haushalt.Der Verschluss hält dicht, auch wenn man die volle Kanne einmal umstoßen sollte. Vorsichtig muss man nur sein, wenn man den Deckel abnimmt und umgedreht ablegen will, konstruktionsbedingt (Einhandbedienung) kann aus diesem dann etwas Flüssigkeit austreten.Fazit: Ordentliche Isolierkanne. Keine optische Innovation, sondern zeitlos schlicht mit guter Funktionalität und einem vernünftigen Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
