Favorite Old-Time American Songs for Dulcimer

Old-Time American Songs for Dulcimer by Mark Nelson and Mel Bay Publications is a good collection of familiar and not so familiar old songs that have been arranged for the Dulcimer with tablature as well as the regular musical notation. It includes the lyrics for each song. For someone learning to pay the Dulcimer it is nice to have a comfortable set of songs to work with.I consider myself to be a non-musical person. On a whim I purchased a Dulcimer. I don't read music. Tablature has allowed me to become acquainted with this magical instrument and actually play some songs that I remember from my childhood in the 50's.McCutcheon Music shipped the book to me in a timely fashion. I was pleased with the product. Just because I have gray hair doesn't mean I am unable to experience something different and new, at least new for me. This is a wonderful song collection, excellent tablature product and good product seller. My Dulcimer and I are happy.

This book has a large compilation of songs, in a variety of tunings. I'm a beginning dulcimer player and there lots of good beginner songs to choose farm.

This is a good and varied collection of songs for playing on the dulcimer.

An excellent assortment of traditional dulcimer tunes in an understandable multiple format. Shoud be a welcomed addition to any musical library!

Bought as a gift for my wife keeps her busy and even though I am not into music the tunes that are included in this book makes pleasant listening
