4 Inch High Velocity Desk Fan Black

I got this for my wife to use in the bathroom. She get's real hot getting ready in the morning. This is a small fan. Perhaps smaller than i anticipated. The switch is a simple rocker on/off affair. When I first tried it out it didn't immediately spin. I smacked it lightly and it worked as it should. Eh. It's just OK and a little more expensive than I would have liked. She picked it out.

It's now super powerful but it does the job

Love these little fans. They're quite powerful for how small they are.

It's noisy

Yhis is a great fan! Very quiet. Works perfectly. I would recommend it in place of cheaper plastic fans.Debra.

I have two of these fans, one in gray and one in black. I bought both at the same time. They do move a decent amount of air. The air also comes out in a straight column; you will feel very little air movement unless it is pointing straight at you.The fans both worked great for a couple months, but have slowly gotten significantly noisier. If the fans are not pointing straight forward, they will gradually become noisier over time. The fans now make a constant rattling, brushing noise unless they are pointed straight forward. I've taken one apart and cleaned it and tightened all the screws and put it back together, and it is still noisy. The rattling comes from within the motor and is due to a bad motor design which is a flaw in the product.This same fan also appears to be marketed under many other brands, so be careful when looking at other 4" fans. If they look identical to this one except with a different logo, they probably have the same issue.I'm giving three stars on this fan because of its cheap price and because it works well despite the noise.

I found this fan to be quiet and efficient. I placed it under my desk in my office cubicle to move the air around, and I soon had to move it so it was not blowing directly on me - as I was getting a chill! When I took it out of the box I immediately added a couple drops of 3-in-1 oil to the shaft (while tilting it backwards) to oil the bearings (or whatever passes for bearings in this tiny fan) and did a little huffing and puffing on the blade to spin it (and thereby lubricate the motor shaft). This may contribute to its quiet and efficient operation. The air blowing from the fan has a faint scent of 3-in-1 oil. Hmmm...
