I survived BWR on my road bike!
I fitted the 28mm Gravel Kings to my S-Works Tarmac specifically to train for and race the Belgian Waffle Ride. I will admit that this is not the ideal setup, but I needed a tire that would at least survive the ride given my limitations, as I was not willing to buy a "gravel bike" just for this event. When paired with 28-32mm Q-Tubes I found these tires to be extremely robust on the worst surfaces, yet fast enough on tarmac. I was surely at a huge disadvantage on sand and rocky descents compared to others on 35mm+ tires. However over hundreds of miles of training rides, plus the actual 133 mile race, I never flatted a single time, which was more than I was hoping for!I would definitely recommend this tire if you are looking for a tire primarily for smooth roads, but tough enough to survive harsh terrain.

) low rolling resistance tire that rolls great on smooth road and chip seal AND can take ...
We ride a lot of road and a lot of gravel...and there are few tires that can do both well. While the GravelKings are not Vittoria Corsa CX Open tires, they are also many times more durable and at 80-90 psi corner and soak up rough roads extremely well. If you are looking for an incredibly tough, medium volume (26mm,) low rolling resistance tire that rolls great on smooth road and chip seal AND can take the abuse of flint gravel and granite, look no further. Great tire.

Excellent ride quality - Very Poor Puncture Resistance
Review of 32 cc brown sidewall GravelKing (not the SK version). I ride with tubes, so can't speak to tubeless setup. As other have noted, tire bead is very tight and initial installation caused blisters on both of my thumbs, but I was able to install after some effort and persistence. Fixing flats on the side of the road is a pain, but not impossible. Takes 5 min longer than typical tire to get bead over rim.I have been commuting on these tires routinely for about a month now, in the dry and wet, mostly on asphalt roads with occasional gravel and glass debris on shoulders. ~250 miles and counting. The good: ride quality is excellent. Tires are lightweight and very supple. Grip is supreme, and rolling efficiency is excellent. Tires look awesome on my Fuji Cross too.The bad: tires are very susceptible to glass punctures and are harder than typical to mount due to tight bead. I attribute this to thin casing and texture of tread. I have had three flats in 250 miles due to glass fragments puncturing through casing. And changing the tubes in the cold rain on the road shoulder was made worse due to the tight bead. I was hoping for a tougher tire - should have gone with a puncture resistant tire. 30 min late to work on two occasions in one month due to these flats so far.I do love the grip and ride quality of the tire, so I ended up putting in Rhinodillo tire liners and haven't flatted since.

Spend a little more and you'll save a lot
I really thought these tires were going to do the trick for me but I have to say I'm very disappointed in there value. I'm not saying they are bad tires; in fact they are quite good. However, my previous pair of bontrager's cost as much as one of these tires and had far better puncture protection. The brown sidewalls are another thing that bother me as the give the false impression that these tires are gum-wall tires: they are not its just brown for ascetics. The tires are grippy but not as much as a semi-slick and road riding feels great but that 1.75 width makes it feel less compliant than a skinnier tire.I think in the end I will not use these for gravel. These are great for commuting but "gravelking" it ain't. Maybe my expectations were to high but my cheaper bontrager's were a better value.

Rolls fast!
I welded my own frame and put these tires on to create a lean, mean urban assault bike, and I get a LOT of compliments on these tires. I'm running them tubeless on a Velocity Blunt SS rim and DT Swiss 350 hubs (27.5 x 1.75). These are pretty light tires at just 360g each.

Good tire, but not for real gravel
I bought these tires for touring and gravel kings, they are not. They're good on pavement and fast, but pretty thin and puncture vulnerable. They did great with light gravel, packed dirt and even going over big rocks. Low quality jagged gravel and sand they really struggle with.I've had a lot of flats with these and will probably go for a thicker tire. I was on Schwalbe marathons before.

Great winter tires
These tires performed admirably during winter, but I couldn't help but shake the feeling that they felt sluggish compared to the Compass Stampede Pass tires that I usually run. But those are $30 more expensive per tire so I guess you pay for extra speed.

These are great, they last well, work brilliantly and look great too..
These are my favourite tyre. They roll nice and fast on regular roads and are amazing in the rain. They are lasting very well and they cope really well with the gravel tracks that I often find myself riding down. They feel nice to ride, they looks great and they perform incredibly well. Very happy.

Nice tyres shame they are puncture prone to glass
They look really nice and ride really well. I ride mainly in the city and I seem to get flat tyres with these all the time. Tiny specs of glass seem to give me flats with these tyres. I am swapping back over to gatorskins.

Not too sure about this tire for road use
I had a few flats using this tire. Gatorskin seems stiffer but more reliable compared this. Tire felt a little sluggish with not much benefits for road use. It looks great though.
