Out of my pockets and into this bag!
When I received this, I initially just thought about attaching it to one of my hiking bags and using it as another pocket for storing small miscellaneous items in. It attaches nicely through the Molle system that is common on military styled gear via two button snapped straps located on the back of the bag. However, after testing it by wearing it on my belt, which is what it was primarily designed for, I think it will definitely serve a better purpose using it that way. When I go camping, I am typically loaded with "gear" in my pockets. Especially on the days when we are setting up and taking down the campsite. To make matters worse, I am constantly moving from crouching to standing as I am setting up tents and unpacking equipment from the back of the truck. I've got keys, phone, multi-tool, lighter, zip ties, and other small items crammed in my pockets making the whole process uncomfortable. Most of the time, I just "de-gear" myself and end up unloading everything either on the ground, tailgate, or picnic table. Problem is, when I need something, I've got to stop and go get it.I loaded this particular bag with the typical items that I usually have with me and it sure is a lot more convenient to move around and have everything that I need in one place on my side. The bag has two zippered compartments with divided sections within each for organization. I was able to fit my lighter, multitool, a handful of the small zip ties that I use for certain things, truck keys, and I still have some room to comfortably put a few other small items if needed. The bag also has an outer section that allows you to slide your phone into. My phone (iPhone 6s) is in a leather wallet case and it fit perfectly. This particular area is basically an elastic band that can accommodate phones about the width size of an iPhone 6s. The phone can be further secured with a buckled flap that is adjustable to the phone's height. It fits snuggly and works well. There is a small long pocket on the outside of the bag that appears to be for a pen as well. The whole rig reminds me of a camping man's pocket protector. On some of these family campgrounds, I like to have some spare change easily accessible for boat rentals, buy ice, and to carry my ID around. I think this will work perfectly for that also. The bag appears to be well constructed and I don't see any issues with the durability of the material or stitching. The button snaps for the belt straps are very secure and do not pop off easily. The zippers run smoothly and I haven't had any problems with them snagging on any material. The bag wears comfortably on my side and it will certainly help alleviate the aggravation of having so many pocket items for camping. The manufacturer sent this bag direct to me at no cost for evaluation. My opinions are my own and reflect my initial impressions and testing of the product.
