Imagine: Trusting God like never before: Trusting God like never before (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Imagine not worrying!
I found this to be a very easy read about trusting God in your everyday life. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating so they say.I am a 60 year old man who has spent his entire life worrying. Free floating anxiety its been labelled.Over the last few weeks, each morning on awakening I have made a cup of tea then read a chapter of the New Testament (NIV) followed by a small section or two of this book (kindle version. I wish I'd bought the actual paper version). That's easy to do as the book is written in lots of small sections. This book is a constant drip of Trust God, Trust God, Trust God....After only a couple of weeks I said to my wife, "I've noticed I've stopped worrying. There is not a single worry in my head". Which, if you knew me would probably astound you!So, I write this as the UK is coming out of Coronavirus lockdown, and last night's news showed the Chancellor saying that Britain is about to enter the worst recession its ever faced. And the thought that entered my head, as that habitual worrywart's bolt of adrenalin kicked in, was "That's OK. God has got me". And I didn't give it another thought. I'm low income self-employed, so in these particular times, not worrying but trusting God instead is a big thing. If I was the chancellor (which thankfully I'm not) I would say something like "I recommend this book to the house!"

Brilliant book, that ive now read several times over - cant recommend enough...
Read by a non-Christian reader who was simply exploring faith. It’s written carefully, and honestly using real life examples and everyday circumstances in a way that even non-Christians can relate. Told in a way that really connects you with the author and his family. So much so, over the past year I have re-read this book at least three times, and bought other copies to pass on as presents to my family. Recently my wife was very poorly and bed ridden for a number of weeks. I gave her a copy of this book to read and could visibly see her gain strength from the power of the words. Some chapters brought on tears, others joyful laughter but all gave strength in the powerful writing and passion by which it’s written.Christian or not, I highly recommend this book, you won’t be disappointed. It taught me a lot, and has helped me move further forward in my journey.Personally, I very much look forward to Simon Lawton’s next release.

Repetitive but I think with purpose.
Tô be honest I found the book quite repetitive but in hindsight this book really does hammer it into you to trust God.I believe the repetition was not without purpose.A recommended read for anyone struggling with trusting God and needing an easy to follow book to read.

This is a wonderful book and easy to follow
Since I lost my wife a few months ago I have drawn so much strength from this book, suffice to say that it has helped me so much to cope with my bereavement. I have gone from being a sceptic to being a strong Christian believer. Although I read it cover to cover I find myself opening the book up on a daily basis and I can guarantee that if I feel a bit low I am lifted immediately after reading a couple of paragraphs. I have been so impressed with the writing and the easy flow of the dialogue that I bought extra copies to give to friends.

A very Powerful and empowering read indeed.
I have bought this book both on kindle and paperback. It is definitely worth owning one. Apart from my bible, it’s my most read and re read book which is underpinned with the word of God. The authors shares personal experiences, which backs up what’s been said. It’s true to life, and is very simple to read but extremely powerful. It’s a reminder of God’s love for us, and His Fatherly promise to be with us through the storms of life.. we only need to trust in God no matter what life throws at us.. I highly recommend this book and the bible study which is in within the contents of the book. It’s going to be my home groups next study.. A word in season.

Buy this book.....
I love this book. Now dipping in often as it makes me feel so good...I would definately recommend it for lifting the spirits and learning to totally trust God again. We moved 2 days before lockdown and lots ofanxiety over many months. I am still working through the book, polishing up in places but taking much of it as a good friendly talking to me by Simon. Thank you for being so open about your life and the trust you have in our Lord and sharing your experiences. I do not want to be a second rate Christian and with this book I don't have to be! I already feel twinges excitement after anxiety and depression. Looking forward to a new church here after leaving an excellent one where we moved from. I will totally trust God again it is the only way to perfect peace as I experienced over the years.

A very encouraging and powerful read
I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! This book goes into depth about how essential it is for a believer to trust God and the impact it can have on everyday life. I felt very encouraged, inspired and challenged by how the author poses questions on how we act and respond to God's call. I would highly recommend as the author shares personal experience which is relevant to what has been said and gives the reader a picture of how God can act in our lives when we trust and commit to Him!

Most influential book necessary to read to know of your purpose and potential
One of the most influential books for Christiana’s to read. (For anyone to read). My son and I have never before had such a clear understanding of God’s plan for our lives. For me, I am gaining peace and overcoming anxiety and fear; I am beginning to see the path to follow to reach my goals of living in peace. For my son, he is a Christian I look up to; his faith is so strong. And when I asked him what one book he would have me read to mend my broken heart and aspire to follow Christ as He intended me to do...he said to read “Imagine” and to, literally, trust God as I have never before! I am still reading. I think he is on his third pass!Just hearing my son’s voice speak to me with such assurance of Gods purpose....a mother’s prayer.....an answered one.

What a find!
I’m going through a season in my life where I’ve realized I’ve ignored my faith and am trying to rebuild it. Part of that is trust. So I searched for books on trusting God and landed at this one. What an amazing book! I’m using it during my devotional time so I’m not far into it but I honestly don’t want to put it down! Simon is a very good writer and this book just keeps me wanting more. I am NOT an avid reader so for me to be like this over a book is huge. I thank God for directing me to this book and will definitely be ordering his new book after I’m done with this one.

A true blessing
This was a wonderful read. As someone dealing with a lot of anxiety over health, family and the burdens of life, this came just when I needed it. Trusting God has always been a significant challenge for me and the author’s insights and thoughts on the matter have certainly helped put me on a Better path to hopefully a more fulfilling, trusting and deeper relationship with Him.
