Q: How far down does the extender extend?

to the left about 6 inches, just a guess, but that is enough cause you can move it towards the end of the visor, so you really usually just need a few more inches extended. the downward part is a less, about 3, 4 inches, guessing. most visors on cars are just about big enough, you just need a little more. it was easy to put on, just read the instructions so you can figure out how to attach it so the part that goes down doesn't get blocked by the straps. clever way they made it. a little more than I would have liked, but it was worth it. shipped fast too.

I think this visor would work fine attached to any car visor. I have a Prius and it works perfectly.

Q: When you pull it down, will it stay where you want it or will it extend all the way down by gravity. Is it actually adjustable?

It will stay where you put it. You can pull it down or over the length you want. I found that it did not always pull down evenly and one side was higher than the other. It took additional adjusting to even them out.
