Great Book! Wonderful Seller!
This book was in great condition and arrived as expected. It was, however, shipped secondary after the wrong item was accidentally sent to us. But, it did not take long to get the correct one sent to us, and we got to keep the first book, which gave them another book to read. Great work by the seller putting customers' needs first. It was ordered as a project book for one of my children's school classes, and my child has been exstatic about reading it. I have received positive feedback from her thus far, which is really special to us.I remember when I was a child how I would hate to read. And even when I had to I would do so with contempt, I believe, because I would get no praise or involvement from my parents. They weren't much on reading either. And having went to college as an adult, I've come to realize how important it is to instill a passion for reading in our children, and books like "Heat" are perfect for young readers like ours.

Great story to read to a young athlete
I read this to my son and he initially only cared about the book because “it was about a pitcher”. Over the course of the book he became enthralled by each of the characters and the life lessons thread through the book.

Great topic for kids who do not read often
Love the topic of this book. My son loves sports and that was what was most appealing to him. He really enjoyed the book.

Great read.
This was just an all around great read. A perfect escape from everything else. Heart felt struggle of two brothers and friends and how they all rally to protect one another, realize some mistakes, own them and keep moving forward. Great story, when's the movie coming?

Great Book for Older Kids
I read this book myself, and enjoyed it. For an adult, it's a cute, heartwarming story. However it's a good book for a young adult, short enough for them to complete it in good time. My 13-year-old boy, who doesn't always read much, finished this book over the course of a few days. He enjoyed it enough to read it on his own from cover-to-cover.The book is about a 12-yr old boy from Cuba and touches on the struggles of immigrants, the working poor, family dynamics, caring neighbors, and adolesence. Oh yeah, and baseball too.....

Michael lives on 825 Gerard street in New York next to the Yankees stadium. Although he hasn't be in there until now.READ THE BOOK TO KNOW ABOUT MICHAEL AND HIS LIFE!!

Best. Book. Ever!!!!!!
This book is about a pitcher named Michael Arroyo, a 12-year old Little League pitcher who is is banned from playing because some poopy rival coaches think he is too good of a pitcher to be 12 years old. Mike Lupica is my favorite sports writer of all time. I have experience with baseball, because I've played Little League for 6 years now, and I'm 11!
