Glacier Tek Sports Cool Vest with Set of 8 Nontoxic Cooling Packs

I've needed to use several cool vests (primarily work related) and hands down this is the best. Not sure what the material is, but seems to freeze faster and last longer than other similar products. Also, I was surprised to see any negative comments (not sure what that's about) as the quality and workmanship is better than two other products I've purchased (from other companies) in the past. The "booster packs" also significantly help to prolong the "cool" duration. I've referred friends/work people and from what I've heard they are happy with the product as well.

Cooling vest works very well! Used as a landscaper in 80-95 degree weather.. absolutely helped! Keep a separate cooler on the truck with ice and water to swap out packs. The hotter it is the better the vests feels. As the solid chunks become liquid you will feel the liquid bounce around which can be annoying. It says if there's any chunks left its keeping it 60 degrees but once it becomes liquid against your body it just absorbs all the heat and becomes hot. depending on your body heat and how hot it is outside the amount of time you'll get out of it will vary!The vest comes apart and is easily washed in a basin or container with some soap and water. I wouldn't recommend machine washing the vest.Only giving 4 stars because of the lack of customer support. Bought a 2nd vest for one of my workers but he declined to wear it so I tried to return an unopened/sealed vest and gel packs but after 2 emails I got no response from the company. No way to return it.

As a person suffering with MS, the heat can truly mess with me. This weekend I rode in the Colorado Bike MS in temperatures above 90 degrees. This product is truly a lifesaver! Since the cooling packs can be recharged in about 20 minutes in ice water, I was able to recharge them at every rest stop.

I've used a lot of gimmicky "cooling" products in the past, but this is the real deal. It has enough thermal capacity to keep my 200+ lb frame cool in extreme weather. The cold pack swapping is also much easier on this than my other similar products.

Love that it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. The fabric is durable and velcro straps make it comfortable for a slim woman or a large man. I play tennis, and if I wore it continuously, the ice would melt too quickly, so I don it on the changeovers, and that seems to help cool me down a lot. The only thing that would make it better is if a longer-lasting ice were created. I plan to buy one for my 6 foot son.

It's comfortable and adjustable. I wear it under a work shirt when working in the yard. I have Myasthenia gravis and heat inhibits my outside activities. With this vest I can comfortably work in the yard much longer than I would be able without the cooling vest. Anybody with problems in hot weather should consider using this vest. Wish I had known about it sooner.

Great product so far. My daughter wears fur suits (mascot costumes) out in the heat, and this definitely cools her down. I trimmed the straps so that this is held right against her body - I've heard that competitors vests are too big and bulky for a small frame. I also like that the packs don't get wet (with condensation) as they un-thaw. We even stick an extra ice pack (there were more than enough included) on her upper back below her neck, horizontally, above where the other ice packs go and it seems to stay in place. Expensive product, but I don't want her to pass out in the heat, so we're pleased so far.

I own a lawn company. The packs stay cool in South Ga for about 3 hours. One of the pack pouches leaked out after being put in a cooler full of ice and water. The packs do refreeze in ice water almost immediately! The company emailed me and called me after learning of the leaky pouch. Great US customer service! They replace the pouch immediately. I would recommend the product and company for sure!
