Art of Color and Design Paperback – August 12, 2019

This is a fantastic book. It's out of print and was originally printed in the early fifty's. It was recommended by an Artist Tony Couch in his watercolor book. I have found it very helpful in understanding all the basics of design that very few books get into. Not only dose the book get into all the elements but it also has questions and exercises at the end of each chapter to help you work though it.

This is a great book for composition in Art and understanding composition in my own drawings.If your an artist and needs to make the next step up from studies to complete pictures or painting ..this is the book that will show you the way.

Book arrived on perfect condition right to my door could not be happier I work in design area and find that this is great for explaining elements and principles and how they work together. This is excellent for any design or art student.

This is one of the best art theory books available. It is highly recommended for all students, and as a reminded for professional artists - both in the fine and graphic fields.

As someone else mentioned, it seems absurd that a book about color is in black and white. Sent it back. I thought with the cover, this one would be in color.

It should not be titled COLOR and design when the entire book is black and white! Lots of very in depth design theory, zero color. I’m returning it.

Classic book with great examples for the beginning design classes. Beware some sites are trying to sell the second edition for over $500 and you can get them for $20. The first edition maybe worth the high price tag.

For some reason the entire book is printed in black and white. No color to see the photos and diagrams. Completely defeats the purpose of the book.:(
