Best USB to VGA adapter
This is the best USB to VGA adapter on the market not only is the screen size the best no lag and the instructions were perfect. The recommend web URL got me the latest drivers and after the reset the display came up on the first tri and worked from any USB port. Even my usb 2 or 3 ports on my usb extender. Great VGA output.

Dell Inspiron DUO now connects to projector
This product does exactly what I wanted. I am writing a review so that others who are trying to add an external monitor capability to their netbook (specifically the Dell Inspiron DUO) can rest assured that this solution works. First try, right out of the box.My problem was that while my little flip-screen DUO does everything I want in a computer for travel, I sometimes need to bring my BIG laptop along if I want to connect to a projector. This is a big deal weight-wise and a hassle as well. I researched solutions and it appeared that a USB2-to-VGA external device would work, but I couldn't find any reviews making it clear that it would work for certain.I contacted StarTech.com's technical support and they got back to me very quickly. They advised buying the unit somewhere with a good return policy because they had seen some "issues" with touch screen devices. I was looking at a competing device and contacted their tech support with the same question and got a "we're sure it will work." I went with StarTech because I liked their response time AND their honesty. Turns out, it works just fine. One tip: Don't install from the enclosed CD at all. Just download the latest driver installation from the StarTech website. The only thing that happens if you install from the CD is that you have to then uninstall it to get the updated drivers installed. My mistake, but it would've been more clever to just tell me to get the drivers online and not bother with the CD. Anyway, a few minutes wasted time, but otherwise no big deal. After getting the drivers installed, I connected everything as directed in the brief manual. And it works! No fuss, no muss. Upon recognizing the device, it went immediately into dual monitor mode and mirrored everything from my screen to the projector. I'm good to go.By the way, it works just fine in touch screen mode as well. I didn't START the computer in tablet mode, but when I switched from keyboard to tablet mode, it had no problem paging through a PowerPoint slide presentation and showing that on the projector.UPDATE: Used it on a trip. I had to restart my laptop a couple of times as it "lost" the connection to the projector (or the projector lost it). But, after that, it ran like a charm for 2.5 hours without a glitch. EXCELLENT product.

this product works for me and i ordered a 2nd -- it works great too!
December 26, 2011 update -- My wife got me one for Christmas. After my previous experience below, it was exactly what I wanted. I just tried it (had already loaded the drivers as noted below). It is working great! Hmm-- I have another monitor that I could probably use with this computer....December 11 2011 update -- as indicated below, the purchase was for the church computer. It has been installed there and was used successfully in the Worship Service today. It continues to be easy to install and reliable.ORIGINAL -- I installed this today. And it worked great immediately following installation.(1) I made sure that the device was not attached to the computer as noted in the guide.(2) I went to Startech.com and clicked on download and drivers, then entered the device name and dowloaded the driver.(3) Then I ran the driver.(4) As noted in the guide, it eventually indicated that I needed to restart so I let the computer restart.(5) I had the monitor and and cable ready but as noted, waited until after the computer restarted -- and I gave it a few minutes so that all applications were up and running.(6) Then I plugged in the usb cable to the computer(7) The screen came on immediately. I did go into the system setup as suggested to review and eventually changed another monitorSo now I have(a) laptop screen(b) monitor 2 which is connected to the VGA port on the laptop(c) monitor 3 which is connected through the USB2VGAE3Each is on and each has different item displaying.I wanted to check this out on my computer before we install it on a laptop at church which is used for morning worship presentations (well it was until we added a new screen which it could not handle). So - it is going to be used there. And probably in a month I will be getting one for myself. And then probably one for my wife. All in all, if it the new one works as well for me as this one has, I would give it more stars than 5.It is nice to have a product that works well right from the beginning. Thanks Startech.com and Thanks amazon.com.
