Bought this for my husband to use. He loves it! He said there is definitely a learning curve!

I have borrowed other's for special times...only to not use it! So, I figured, maybe if I have my own so I can spend time with it, then maybe so. Found a really good youtube tutorial on it...which is what really prompted me to purchase. Haven't had much time to play, but I will definitely be making some time happen soon. I don't guess it works for basses, cause I got nothing on the first attempt. The thing about these things, is that they always make your notes way higher than what you are playing. I suppose that's the nature of the wee little beasties. Haha For now, just there in my arsenal for future use. -=80)

The EBow has been on my wish list for years and just hadn't purchased one due to limited funds. I recently decided to purchase one as a way to expand my sonic footprint. Opened the box, put in the battery and started messing around with it. It works great and I am kicking myself for not getting one sooner. I haven't read the little manual because I found it easy to use and perfect with a volume/expression pedal. This is a great tool for getting an endless sustain effect and a fun tool to get experimental with my stringed instruments. If I lost this, I would gladly shell out the $ for another one as I find it to be a very useful tool and well worth the price.

This thing plays differently depending on the pickup placement and where you situate the ebow. Doesn't always work, to do that you need to be precise and that takes practice!For me, I was better off using a string sound on a synth, but it's a cool way to be creative w the guitar you already have.

Also worth mentioning that this IS the plus model. It says right on the thing. I'm not sure why the seller is telling people it isn't.Now for the review. I really enjoyed using this thing! I bought it to use with a lap steel guitar and right out of the box I was able to get it working. It was really fun to use, and then suddenly I went to use it last night and it didn't work anymore. The LED still came on, but it wouldn't vibrate the string. I'm having a replacement sent out and I'll update my review once I determine that the replacement doesn't break after a week!

This thing is a trip! After debating back and forth for a year I so, I finally pulled the trigger and got one of these. Worth every penny. I also have a Tonewood amp on my acoustic and when you pair the two together, you set off into a crazy aethereal world!I can understand why some people have had trouble with it. It took me a bit to finally get the hang of it. After about an hour or two, I am able to go string to string. The only weird situation is the low E, but I’ve been able to sort of get it to work.Overall, this has certainly proved itself to be a sturdy weapon in my sound creating arsenal.

Was a gift for my musician partner. He absolutely loves it.Considering the price I did feel the quality of materials wasn't reflected. feels like cheap plastic. the sound it makes, however, is wonderful and unique.I was a little disappointed there was no communication from the store and I was left for many weeks having no idea when the item would arrive, was anxious it wasn't going to make it in time for a birthday. I did get it somewhat on time but with no prior warning to when it would be shipped.
