They do a good job at cutting down the noise from mowing equipment. Obviously they don't block all the sound, but do a good job at knocking down the harshness of the noise from mower engines and string trimmers. I noticed a pretty big difference.They're decently comfortable, and stay in place pretty well, even through sweat. The cord is convenient to just hang em up when you're done. They seem to be of good quality for the price.

These earbuds are great due to the color, bright orange, sticking out when I need to find them. They provide decent ear protection for tasks such as mowing the lawn, but I’m not sure I would trust them for louder tasks without additional protection.

Well... As I work in many different places, I've tried using these out when I need a little more protection... sadly, they let in a LOT more sound than wanted. So protection isn't nearly as good as desired.I will say that they are comfortable and don't cause any ear pain, and do reduce sounds a few decibels, but again, not by a whole lot.They are pretty cheap, and they're professional looking, but... still much prefer my cheap foam inserts over these rubber pieces.

I've used these 3M earplugs for years with electric power tools, chainsaws, and while doing surveys in manufacturing facilities. They work well, are reasonably comfortable, and the lanyard is helpful when you remove just one for a conversation or both to hang them around your neck. If you wear a hard hat you can run the lanyard through the head strap or clip it to the helmet so they don't get lost.For convenience, I keep one in all my noisy power tool boxes (circular saw, chainsaw, router, etc.). I store them in old pill bottles rather than playing origami trying to stuff them into the overly small included case.Notes:>> Earplugs made in USA, Lanyards attached in Mexico, Case made in China. So you don't have to worry about funky Chinese chemicals leaching out when they come in contact with your skin. One plastic case is included with the two sets of earplugs.>> For me, these don't provide adequate protection while shooting. Ringing in your ears is a sign of hearing damage, which can be permanent.>> With this style of earplugs, pulling up on the top of your ear makes insertion easier.

We use these often at sports games where there are loud buzzers driving us crazy. They dull the loud noises enough for me not to jump at every quarter.Plus they are wonderful in a car full of noisy kids.They are easy to put in and it's neat how I can have them around my neck when not using them.
