A Terrific Aerial Yoga Rig for your Apartment or Studio
I absolutely love this product. I had been dreaming about having an aerial yoga rig in my apartment since I started taking classes in it over a year ago, but the cement ceiling in my apartment would be too risky for a bolted rig. The Omni Gym gave me the perfect solution. It fits perfectly in my 8'1.5" ceilings (with about .25" to spare), and is sturdy enough to swing gently. I was able to snap the whole thing together on the first try in about 15 minutes and the hammock and other attachments were very easy to figure out. They included plenty of hardware for the attachments and bags to store them in, and a slightly larger set of uprights in the base, which I may use if I bring it to a studio with higher ceilings. It's pretty light and easy to move around the room, but of course when I'm working I place weighted bags on the base to keep it from moving during poses. The vendor was extremely proactive and reached out to me before shipping. If you're just interested in a home gym for hanging and inversion exercises, then this is perfect. If you want to do true aerial yoga, however, the poly chiffon is not the best, and the included hammock is not wide enough to lay down in. I would recommend buying a hammock made of low- or no-stretch nylon tricot or polycot that is at least 110" wide.
