Before I bought this my records played so low through my receiver since it has no dedicated Phono input. The Audio Technica I have has crap for a built in pre-amp in it. It's next to worthless if you ask me. But after adding this the volume was easily doubled, and sounded amazing! I was able to fine tune the Bass/Treble to my preference and my records have a new life!! The sound is so warm and enveloping..just a really beautiful mix. This is worth every penny.

Plugged in the tubes; connected the AC; powered it on. Very nice sounding unit. No noise of any kind with this device. For the money, it was worth the buy if you want to incorporate some lush tube sound. Definitely not "fat" or "slushy" sounding. Just adds some fullness to the sound.

First ever tried using a tube amp buffer device, i was surprised at how much more natural it sounds when playing oldies and classicical through it. Manual says the tube can be exchange for different set of sound effects, can't wait to get my hands on different tubes and try it out.

I haven't played my records in the last 30 years. They have been drug up and down the alcan any number of times, frozen in storage in a box. I played with a couple of other pre-amps after I found the records again but the sound quality just wasn't there. Till I got this one, now they sound better than when I bought them. Well as I remember any way. 8*)

This little preamp sounds AMAZING with the Audio Technica lp120xusb. I can’t believe the life it brought to the music.

Tried grounded not grounded, tried on three different systems and never got rid of the hum.

Want a warm analogue sound? This inexpensive product gives you a warm "analogue" sound as well as better 3D background sound. Played the recent Hip Hop Song like I've never heard it before.Highly recommended!
