Thins and inexpensive
I had a pair of Altus straps from years ago that finally started to tear so I replaced them with these. Well, I also ordered a pair of the Sheik straps shortly after getting these and seeing how much thinner they were. These do the job, but they're already stretching and I won't use them for heavier weights where safety could be an issue if they tear. Now, if you're just wrapping to cover the knurl on the bar because you don't wear gloves, then these are great - but if you're using them for heavy deadlifts, don't.

Anybody who rates these less than 5 stars needs a clue! Most comfortable wrist straps eliminates need for neoprene padding
I have tried every single pair of wrist straps known to man... These wrist straps are the best for one reason, they do not dig in, and they extremely soft and comfortable. after years of trying and comparing, these are the softest leather, most comfortable wrist straps. I tried the grizzly with the neoprene wrist guard but the plastic buckle digs into the back of your hand.BY FAR DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET THESE!! Your wrists will thank-you and you will pull more weight because of the comfort and softness of the material

Not like they use to be
I bought these cause I lost my old pair that I bought from a local sports store. I loved those. They were strong and thinner than cotton straps (which is why I prefer leather). These are awful in comparison to the original. I have these for a few months now, and I hate them. Dont get me wrong, they do what they are suppose to do, give you better grip, which is why I'll give them 2 stars. However, they bundle up. Normal straps should stay flat, so they distribute weight around your wrist with more surface area against your wrist. These straps bundle up, get narrow, and slowly cut off blood flow into your hands, incredibly uncomfortable.

Best lifting straps!
These are the only lifting straps i use. I pretty much use them for deadlifting and back workouts. They don't bulk up the bar like the paded (cotton). i deadlift 400 to 500 pounds and a huge part of it is because of these straps. Yea i've gotten one pair in the past that were slightly ripped and i had to return them, but its only happened once out of the 10 straps i've bought. Bottom line i wouldn't use any other straps.

Poor quality product
One of the straps ripped apart half way through my shrugs. I never had this problem with my other set of straps that were made out of cotton canvas. The quality of the leather on this particular set of Altus straps is really poor; thin and soft. I would not buy this again.

Good pieces of gear
I prefer them over the cotton straps, or cloth straps because the leather "sticks" to itself, no worry about them coming unraveled. 100 lb shrugs, no problem.

BEST STRAPS I'VE EVER USED!!
Look, I see 1-star reviews here and I am shocked. I've had these straps for a few YEARS now; I run them through the wash cycle with other clothing, use them 5-6 times a week to workout, and they've never torn, ripped, frayed; nothing. These provide, by far, the best grip on dumbells and barbells that I've ever had. I endorse this product with full integrity and I'm ordering another pair for a friend of mine who also likes them a lot.Great product; great price!

Are you kidding me?
My last pair of Leather Altus lifting wraps lasted me 15 years. I didn't believe the reviews and am unhappy I didn't. I tore both wraps within a week from just doing pullups with them. The leather is cut too thin to be useful. Save your money
