OTUS Led Desk lamp DL-006 (Architect lamp)

I purchased this for my husband who is a Gauge O Railway modeller and he is very pleased with it. The light really is as good as daylight which is so important to his work as his work desk is directly under a window to maximise daylight. In the evenings it is giving a very good imitation of daylight. I would like to buy one next for my sewing room!

Fantastic lamp, worth every penny. Does everything you want and then some

Very bright and selective 'moods' of lighting. I do like the touch sensitive operation.Wireless charging is nice, but it is easy to change lighting when placing phone on pad, turning off or on, or changing mode.Changing the light position is a two handed affair, else you will move the base. But once in place, it's very stable.When it arrived, the centre joint was too loose, I had to remove the covering disks to tighten the joint, There should be instructions on how to accomplish this, and it should be much easier to complete. (or better quality control)Overall, I am very happy with the lamp, it's a positive enhancement to my 'busy' desk :)

Fabulous design and really well made

Title says it all. And there’s no way to screw it tighter so it’s totally useless. Returning it.

On powering up for the first time, the light seems excellent. The light is really good, with different colour controls for reading (warm), relax (really warm), and work(cool) all with brightness controls, but then there are a few things that aren't quite right.Firstly, the wireless charging is unreliable in that it doesn't charge when I put my phone on the base. I find that I need to unplug the light, place my phone on the base, then plug the light back in. However, if I pick the phone up to check the charge and put it back, it won't charge and I have to unplug it, and wait 10 seconds before I plug it back in. Okay, it charges wirelessly, but it kinda defeats the purpose. It would be better if the light had a USB port!Secondly, when I go to pick up my phone, the touch controls decide my action really means I want to change my light settings. Sometimes, it just changes the lights randomly. I beginning to wonder whether the light is sensing my mood and doing it for a laugh.Finally, I expected that you could swivel the light left and right relative to the base. You can a bit, but it is limited to about 10 degrees left and right of center. You can move it up and down and forward and back with no limit, but if you want to move it left or right, you have to move the base. On reflection, the pictures show that it can move 5 degrees - I missed this, but it's still stupid.I'm in two minds as to whether to send it back. The light is excellent and the colour controls and dimming allow you to set the colour and intensity like no other light I've ever used. For this, it deserves 5 stars. The controls seem over sensitive, but even though they are over sensitive, you get used to it and if the settings do change, you can change them back. It's just disappointing that such a good light is let down by the controls. The wireless charging and flexibility of the light is a different matter: that I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in again to get wireless charging to work is ridiculous, and that the light is limited to an arc of 5 degrees left and right of center was a really poor design choice.I'm still in two minds about sending it back as there are other LED lights with similar controls for half the price.

Item arrived with EU plug not U.K. plug, the seller offered options to resolve, which was done so quickly. Product works well, but phone does get a little warm during charge. Would have given 5stars if it wasn’t for the plug problem initially.

Too expensive for ... nothing!
