I've been using my small, but trusty Casio SL-300SV for several years now, but eyesight when you start pushing into your 50s surely starts to wane. Enter, the Casio MS-80B...Very similar layout to my previous calculator so no need for me to get used to different locations mainly for the math operations buttons, + - x ÷. LOVE the slightly tilted display that eliminates the potential of seeing those faint, boxy, background 888888's when viewed off-center. Even though it's dual powered (mainly solar, but button battery as backup), I still prefer the OFF button as I store it on my desktop and don't want it to kick into battery usage if desk is dark and I'm finished using it.Only negative IMO is the odd way to calculate +/- percentages. Instead of hitting 100 + 5 %, you need to hit 100 X 5 % +. This is definitely not intuitive but I'll learn, even at my age, in time.Overall though, this is EASILY my favorite basic calculator!!!

This is everything I needed.I work on a small business, so I use the +Tax and -Tax buttons a lot.The backspace button is cherry on pie, it deletes last pressed number ; I know it's not mentioned anywhere, but that small arrow button is backspace.I'm happy with my purchase; the color is as in the picture, it feels very good quality, and all calculations seem correct and accurate.

I wore my current calculator out. I didn't want one that was gigantic - just a medium desk sized one.I found this Casio, after two others, and am delighted. It's sort of two toned, the top number part is slight lifted not totally flat, (I thing that's ergonomic), the keys are perfect for me.In my photo shows both new and old calculators side by side. I wanted to point out the NICE THICK numbers on the Casio vs my old one. I'm very pleased with that!Makes a great desk calculator and doesn't take up too much space.It has two tiny grips on the bottom, but wish there were four. (Old one was the same way.)No battery, just runs on solar. The buttons ae not wobbly and the keys do not have sharp edges.Quality item for the price!
