Solid Lights - Good Performance but Loud Fan
Review of 2 llights in flightcase. So Amazon will tell you to expect 4-8 weeks but they arrived in a week! Delivery quick & the flight case is super well belt and fits these lights quite nicely. My first reaction was what a loud fan (loud for such a size unit, like 20% of a normal vacuum cleaner) -- what I finally concluded was just the way they're built & would be fine for DJ events. Family watching the light work didn't notice/comment about the fan noise in a quiet room so maybe it's just me... it's not a deal breaker because they'll be used in DJ events with Lights did what they advertise.About the lights -- well they work & do put on 4 shows (3 auto & 1 random). It has modern connections, electronics, motors, LED is appropriately bright for 90Watt.PROs: LED is just right in brightness (90W is great choice for the crowd & good value for the money). Yes each light is bright and throw out images fine tested to 50FT and yet not too bright as to blinding a crowd when mounted high & shinning at the crowd's eyes. Note: I'm really happy about the manual "focus" feature when image clarity is desired something I plan to look into "play with more with in DMX programming."Colors are rich and quick to do standard globo merging two at once. Motors operate very well -- precision and well construction and decently quick movements, especially impressive given these are large moving lights. To get faster movements you'll need to pay 3X or get 50% smaller but for size very nice. The 16bit fine tilt/pan movement precision in DMX programming, very nicely done & useful in DMX programming. The gobos are decent, some look real good and yet some gobos I personally don't like. I'm going to use DMX programming so they don't bother me with a few that I find lame.Again overall well well constructed: I felt like this is a modern designed light with the cabling & normal LCD full text menus. I expect a good lifespan and will update review if I'm wrong.Cons - Fan noise (see above). The lenses are a bit dirty. It's not noticeable in the performance (what the audience sees) but a close look makes me want to clean the dust off the lenses. No setting to turn off panning behind the dancefloor -- so a whole room light.Pre-programmed shows auto1, auto2, auto3 are quite short and unimpressive.Random is fine (can be used live) -- does that but still not going to knock anyone's socks off and it'll shine everywhere not just at the dancefloor.DMX - Main value of these lights is with DMX. It's fine just plan on spending some serious time to get these light to be impressive with manual DMX; I'm happy so far with DMX but it's a time to create my own DMX scenes.Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Use mainly with DMX and I love the Flight Case -- really it's my favorite part of my purchase for the money.Note: I will update this review if they surprise me on durability but so far they work great with 18hrs on them with mix of a show & few DMX programming test sessions.

Excellent mover for half the price of the big boys
I bought these thinking it would take a month to get here on the slow boat. However these arrived in a week from the order date, so I was pretty stoked about that. The flight case these units arrived in is well constructed and survived the trip around the world in tact with nothing more than clear wrap around it. The lights fit extremely well into the case so they arrived in perfect condition. In the box I had the 2 movers, 2 power con cables about 1m long, 2 dmx cables about 2' long, the owners manual, and the truss mounting bracket. The bracket is not a quick connect one like a chauvet fixture might include. This one requires 2 allen head screws. Let's get on with the lights themselves.I plugged both fixtures in and after about 10 seconds of self calibrating they defaulted to DMX channel 1. The led color menu is a little involved and being familiar with most mover lights of varying brands these menus are a little different. There were some options that I didn't immediately recognize. I will have to figure these out because the owners manual is a little light on full menu descriptions. This is of little worry to me because the main typical functions are there and easy enough to get the fixture moving after a couple of clicks. The cooling fans are not the quietest, but they are certainly not the loudest in my collection either. I played around with the sound mode and pre-programmed modes. There are 4 pre-programmed modes, plus a random and sound mode all of which appear to not incorporate a totem function which is sort of a let down compared to similar lights from ADJ or Chauvet. Of course these are a fraction of the cost so I certainly can over look that, plus I run DMX these days so it is not a deal breaker for me.I will update this once I have had a full chance to run these in production and program to the nth degree. What little I did see in the auto programs they do have great brightness and color. The prism lenses looked like they came through a desert dust storm....I will need to crack the units open and attempt to clean them at some point. The gobos are ok: Some are cheesy as hell while others as pretty cool. I did notice in the auto mode that the prism likes to spin like a centrifuge. Again these are all things that can be addressed by any decent DMX programming. So far my initial impression is that these are a good value compared to an Inno Spot pro or Intimidator 260 both of which I have sampled or owned. I would recommend them for a DJ looking for a decent entry mover set and doesn't want to break the bank.
