35" Kojima Japanese Bamboo Shoji Lantern

These lamps are/ were $198 each, and not tall as the pictures depicts; in fact they’re about 2 feet tall or so and the lighting is not good. Definitely not worth $436. Friend ordered and had sent back.

One of the bulb fittings doesn't work, but I bought it for accent lighting only and it looks fine so I didn't bother returning it. If orders not working properly when they arrive bothers you, you might want to think twice about this one.

I purchased this in 2010. I set it in the corner of my family room on a desk (it's NOT a floor piece) as accent lighting, put in fluorescent lights, and haven't turned it off since. This is (seriously), one of four lights that are kept on all day and night.It's unique, light, and constructed well considering that it's made from many organic pieces held together.It's gives off a soft yellow light starting 1/3 of the way up. I highly recommend this light.*2016 Update: 6 years and on for over 2100 days, 24 hours a day, and still working great and looking great! Easy to clean.

Beautiful warm light - they glow through the bamboo is lovely. Muted light - not bright. With just the right touch of Eastern aesthetics
