The greatest turnaround of the world's one of the fewest legendary companies by a man who never set foot in the IT industry is not only remarkable but a legacy in itself.This book, has all what Mr. Gerstner sought to do and did when IBM crashed in 1992. By the end of the century, IBM was once again competitive, with a renewed focus and an efficient management. This book, I believe, is one of the Business Essentials.

Lou explanation of challenges of changing culture is superb. I just loved his approach how he dealt with the organizational culture and how he went about changing the culture at IBM. Superb case study. A must read for those planning to get themselves involved in culture change in organizations.

A very good account of a superb turn around right from the person who did it, in such a straight forward format is just amazing! I am happy having read this historical event on the corporate world!Book was received on good condition from Amazon.

Very real and shows so much about him. But he never goes me me me... But I think that is the reason behind the massive sustained transformation.

Ich kann jedem Unternehmensführer, auch und gerade langjährig aktiven, nur empfehlen, das Buch zu lesen (ist in Englisch).Es zeigt auf, was eine Organisation mit einem Unternehmen anstellt und wie sie sich verselbständigt.Es zeigt auch Ansätze, das zu ändern bzw gegenzuhalten.Mein Lieblingssatz "Products were not released, they escaped".Es zeigt auch sehr schön, was passiert, wenn ein angestammter Geschäftsbereich *richtig* unter Druck kommt und was man dann tun kann/sollte/muss.Die Darstellung(en) sind auf viele Unternehmen, die ich kennengelernt habe, anwendbar.
