My son needed a higher bed frame for his new Cal King bed mattress. They are a different size than most. This lined up perfectly. Great 18" height and gives him the extra space for storage. He ask his brother to help him carry the box inside, it's heavy. He was able to build it by himself. Lots of choices out there and he read a ton of reviews but wanted to make this a last frame purchase ever, lol. Every-time he moved, he left large solid frames behind. This one breaks down easy enough and is actually sturdy too. His next job transfer, he will be taking this with him.

I spent a lot of time researching different bed supports and poring over reviews before settling on this one, and it seems that I made the right choice. Five years ago, my husband and I purchased a very nice wooden four-poster bed, but unfortunately it has not held up well under the weight of our very heavy queen-size memory foam mattress. The bed design attempted to support our mattress (and us) with just a single center leg on each of three flimsy metal slats. The whole bed creaked horribly and the side rails had begun to bend and bow.I bought this product with the idea that I could seat it inside my wooden bed frame, without actually being attached to it, to support the mattress so that the wooden frame would no longer have to take the weight and could basically be decorative, and it worked beautifully.My biggest worry when buying this product was that the measurements wouldn’t be exact. This steel frame measures exactly 80 x 60, which was perfect because I only had about an inch of extra wiggle room within my wooden bedtime to fit it.Assembly was quite easy. I actually partially assembled it in the living room where I had room to work, so that I could measure the finished dimensions and confirm that it would fit inside my bed. Once I knew it would, my husband and I were able to fold it up enough to fit down the hall and into the bedroom, before unfolding it in place and adding the center support and slats. It was incredibly simple. Removing the existing flimsy metal slats from my old bed took longer than assembling this new one.I’ve seen some reviews claim that the center leg is too short. When you first unfold and place the center support it sort of seems like the center leg is a little shorter than the others, but once you put even a tiny bit of weight on the center support, it pushes down into its proper position.I also have not noticed our mattress sagging down between the slats at all, even with my husband laying in the bed, I can look underneath and nothing looks strained by the weight.As for marital activities, the bedframe has held up and there is NO squeaking. We have hardwood floors and it does move along the floor (basically bounces around in the one inch or so of extra space it has within the wooden frame surrounding it, which does not move). Without sometime in the way to stop it from moving however, I could potentially see this bed walking its way across a smooth floor. Placing the bed on top of carpet, an area rug, or putting some kind of rubber (such as shelf liner or similar) under the nine legs would probably help with that though.Overall, this bed support was a great purchase and well worth the price!

This bed fame is very sturdy from what I can tell two weeks in. I have no problems with it as of yet. the outer frame is sturdy, and holds my Queen size bed really well. There is no rocking or moment in it what so ever, and it is super quiet. I also love that they give you 2 extra bolts in case one gets lost or breaks. Unlike other reviews I have read on other products I have no fear of my frame falling apart. I also like the plywood slats at least i am assuming that is what they are, but they seem nice, rigid, and light weight.As for the "bad" and I say that super loosely. the inner tan metal part that holds the wood is very thin square metal tubing and crumpled when I tightened down the nut and bolt that came with the frame. It does its job but I would recommend putting some kind of spacer in there to keep it from being crushed. I will say this that I didn't over tighten the bolts super tight to mess up the threads, so the only conclusion i come to is the part is thin metal, and again could use a insert or spacer to keep the square tube true. the only other thing is the wooden slats are pretty loose so I recommend fitting them in and adding a small piece of electrical tape if you want them to fit in snug. I only used 1 small piece per side and they are snug and don't move around unless I pull them out, but if you do my mod be sure not to use to much where it becomes to tight. honestly I think it would be fine on its own but I don't know I just feel better with them firmly held in place. Oh almost forgot there was a hole on one of the legs that was slightly off from the frame where it took a lot more force to put it in properly. It almost felt like it was cross threaded but wasn't, so when I was turning the screw it just took more force. It wasn't a problem luckily, but it really could have been if it was off any more than it was.In closing if you are looking for a bed frame with lots of storage space I would highly recommend this product. I believe this product will last a long time to come, and is the best one I found here on Amazon.

So far I have bought 2 of these bed frames! I have been a big guy for a long time; over 400 pounds. This frame works well with memory foam mattresses; and it doesn’t break down due to sleeping on it every night. I have caused box springs; and other heavy duty bed frames to eventually break under my weight.I also like that it leaves room for under the bed storage; which comes in very handy for apartment living. It also moves easily; because the slats are easy to remove; and the bed frame can be picked up; and folded down for easy moving. My only cons I can give this frame is the slats are heavy; and it can slide easily when on a hard non carpeted floor.

We have a similar frame for a twin bed, but it has metal bars for the Mattress platform. I much prefer the wood, bamboo plywood slats that sit in steel pockets. Rock solid and confidence inspiring. Frame goes together easily, with clear markings on each piece, and step-by-step instructions. The free tools provided are worth every penny. Ratchet screwdriver with bits or screw gun will speed things up by 50%. Would repeat without hesitation.

This bed frame has been awesome, sometimes it can be alittle loud when moving around but is holding up great and love how I can put storage under it , so easy to put together for sure took me 25 mins loved that , would so recommend this frame to people! I sleep greatBed frame is exactly what u see in picture , u need a frame go for it done listen to any of the bad reviews! Go for it , so happy with my purchase !!!

The frame arrived well packed. The only damage was a slight scuffing of the paint from rough handling. Assembly was not difficult following the included instructions. Tools were included. The completed frame is very solid and after using it for 2 weeks there are no squeeks or rattles. I have the 16 inch tall version so there is lots of storage underneath.
