Last year, all the cool kids had gaiters and I was getting snow in my ankles. Bummer. THIS year I am rocking the hottest gaiters of them all. Basically these gaiters are classic and make your calfs look wicked cut from every angle. I feel like a super model when I am wearing these.I bought these a couple of months back to fit my 18" calfs - they fit perfectly even with a boot cut jean underneath and stay fastened surprisingly well considering the velcro fastening system. I use gaiters for walking around in the winter in jeans and leather hiking boots, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. These gaiters keep my legs warm outside and are not overly hot when indoors or extra active ourdoors. They vent really well.There are pockets on the outside that could hold, like, a tissue, or a picture of a beagle, or some other small, flat thing. A house key? Why not.Also there is a metal toe clip that keeps the gaiter fastened to your boot in the front, and an elastic to tighten the top and mold the material to the top calf to hold everything in place.I primarily use gaiters for looking awesome, and secondarily for keeping the snow out of my ankles. These ones do both - so, win win. They are more convenient than snow pants and definitely 10000 X more fashionable. And there is no better time for a fashion show than by yourself, in the woods, surrounded by snow. Fact. Gaiters for the win.

I love these, may order a couple more sets for my hubby and another pair for back up. I have numerous uses for these living in Minn. and spending so much time outdoors. Perfect fit, even over my Sorrels.

These Hiking Hatter's serve it's purpose as leg protection. At the bottom of the Gatter where the strap goes underneath the soul of the shoe - this strap is not holding up and is wearing out from use. The top of the Gatter's are in excellent condition.

They're a bit big, and the tightening straps kind of suck. Seems to be an issue with them being accidentally stitched into.However, for the price they are, and keeping fire Ants and water off, I'll accept it.

I wasn't thrilled about the performance, I kept having to tighten the strap that went underneath midsole of my boots multiple times throughout hike, it never stayed secure, the hook on the front of the gaiters that attached to the boot came undone multiple times. I didn't like the fact it didn't have a draw string around the bottom of the gaiters to keep everything tight including snow from getting up inside. I ordered a XL going up in size on one of the review recommendations that I read, I could have used a size L instead.

Meh, the poor sole strap and buckle ruins it. I hike and climb a lot. Often use gaitors. I do like just about everything about these particularly that the sides come down so far. However, the whole thing is ruined by the very crappy choice of strap material and buckle type. On my first winter outing with these with some altitude gain over snow and some rocky terrain, one strap broke and I couldn't keep the other one strapped tight due to the buckle slipping. That risks getting the strap caught and creating a tripping hazard. The strap should have been made of modern nylon webbing instead of (no one uses this crap these days) a rubberized fake leather junk. The buckle should have been of a modern clip in type and should have been replaceable not sewn on. Oh ya, the velcro front needs to be wider. I'm not wearing these again.

Great product, feet kept dry and warm in an overnight winter hike. Temp was in single digits and snow on average was calf high and at times was up to waist. NO ISSUES. Great trip mostly cause I had warm leg and feet. For fit I am 70 inches and have 21 inch calfskin fit perfectly.

Love it. Got exactly what I ordered, and I'm enjoying immensly, having the bottom of my jeans dry ad clean after working in the mud!
