PGNROPE 100% Natural Linen Twisted Rope (1/2in x 10m(About 11 yd))

I'm not a textile specialist, so I'm not going to comment on whether or not this is in fact 100% linen rope--- I will instead focus on the look and feel of the item. It is a soft, twisted, multistrand rope from China-- not single strand twine. In appearence, it looks very similiar to raw hemp or jute rope, and is a little 'furry' with small wisps and flyaways that can probably be carbined, washed, or burned off. The rope has slightly more rasp than I was expecting, but an overall soft feel-- and additonal conditioning with carbining, washing, or burning will probably make it feel even softer. The ends are NOT whipped with anything more than clear tape--so to prevent unraveling with use, be prepared to whip the ends yourself, and cut lengths to suit.This rope is slightly less chubby than the 10mm cotton rope found all over amazon, which means the smaller diameter can be used for more intricate ties. However, I would never recommend something this small for suspension--no matter how many anchor points you use. As long as it's not being called upon for extreme load bearing, I think this rope is very well suited for shibari/bondage. You get a LOT of rope for the price, and if it is linen, this is a steal even with the additional steps needed to get a 'finished', fully conditioned and smooth rope. If you're a fan of classic athsetics and like the look of raw hemp or jute rope, but want something a bit exotic or ecomonical, you can't go wrong with this.

Was sold as linen and also described as manila. It is not flax linen. It is not manila.It is a good grade of jute, which is much weaker and rougher than flax. It is softer than manila, but much weaker.Please learn the correct fiber names for the products you sell.

This rope is so wonderful for craft projects. It is very durable and flexible. Such a great value for the price. Don't be afraid to order this product......you will not be disappointed.

This rope is awesome for use in crafting. As seen here in this River Run Rustic Wood Craft towel/ladder rack. It is attractive while functional. Love it!
